You're welcome kathy. I would also like to add lamb, beef kidney on the high cholesterol foods list. Just an added note, you can always cook/eat egg whites instead. Egg whites contains no cholesterol.

Cholesterol is made by the body and plays a vital role in our health. It is a component of every cell, and plays an important role in the production of vitamin D, as well as various sex hormones. The brain and nervous tissue also rely on cholesterol. The problem comes when we consume more than we need and we end up with high cholesterol, which leads to heart disease.

Foods That Are High In Cholesterol
  • Liver
  • Egg Yolks
  • Butter
  • Prawns
  • Sardines
  • Heavy Cream
  • Veal
  • Pork Ribs
  • Crab


Low Cholesterol Diet

To keep your cholesterol low, you should eat less than 300mg per day. Foods that will help lower your cholesterol include:
  • Apples
  • Garlic
  • Onions
  • Beans and Legumes
  • Unsaturated Fats
  • Wholegrain Cereals
  • Soybean Products

It is important that we know which foods are high in cholesterol so we avoid them if not minimize eating them to reduce the risk of heart disease.

That's right. Thanks for sharing us this information mikaela. Knowing which foods help lower cholesterol in our body is very helpful so we help our body reduce it by eating the right foods and exercise.

I always incorporate oats in my diet because it helps lower bad cholesterol in our body for a healthy heart. Staying active and constantly exercising are as important too so we have to keep in mind that dieting is just not enough.
