I love using cinnamon and nutmeg on coffee instead of using sugar or other sweetener. Sometimes I also add a teaspoon of cocoa powder on my coffee and add some low fat milk instead of using sugar and it makes a very delicious mocha drink. A teaspoon of cocoa powder is only 5 calories and you get additional dietary fiber and protein

I should try using nutmeg and cinnamon in my coffee from now on to cut back on my pal sweet consumption. Eating hard boiled egg instead of scrambled egg or omelet. 1 egg omelet has 215 calories, 1 scrambled egg has 99 calories, and a hard boiled egg only has 80 calories.

Default 25 ways to cut down on your daily calories
How do you cut your calories down? There are a lot but I want to know what works for most of us. I have here 25 ways on how to cut our calories daily to help us lose weight or maintain our ideal weight.
  • Cut half your cake or pie in half
  • Choose non fat instead of whole milk
  • Drink only water instead of fruit juice or soda
  • Use skim or low fat or non fat yogurt milk when blending your smoothie instead of ice cream
  • Skip the cheese and put lettuce, tomatoes, and onions in your burger
  • Leave 3-4 bites in your plate
  • Drink light beer instead of the regular and limit to only 1 or 2
  • Flavor your coffee with cinnamon and nutmeg instead of syrup or sugar
  • Use extra virgin olive oil when cooking
  • Eat whole wheat bread instead of white
  • Enjoy a cup of soup instead of a bowl
  • Use vinaigrette dressing to your salad instead of mayo based one
  • Trim all fats from beef, chicken, and pork
  • Steam vegetables instead of frying
  • Reduce cooked rice and pasta by half
  • Eat lean ham instead of sausage or bacon
  • Remove skin from chicken
  • Remove croutons from your salad
  • Broil, grill, or steam meats instead of frying
  • Use water packed tuna rather than in oil
  • Top angel food cake with berries instead of icing
  • Enjoy a cup of fruits instead of licorice or jelly beans
  • Choose canned fruits packed in water or in its natural juice instead of heavy syrup
  • Enjoy 2 individually wrapped dark chocolate bar or truffles instead of a full sized bar
  • Eat ice cream in a cup and skip the cone

These tips can be observed everyday and I hope it helps you all

I love these tips mikaela! Thanks for sharing this. I have followed # 1 yesterday and I was glad that I did. I love the idea of flavoring coffee with cinnamon or nutmeg because I just love them both on my coffee. One way too is to use low fat coffee creamer. If you want to be refreshed and water cannot satisfy your thirst because you want more flavor, drink gatorade because it contains less calories and sugar. 300ml is only 75 calories and that should be enough to quench your thirst!

I did #1 too . I tend to eat more when I don't stop myself indulging early on so I cut it in half. Normally when I need to enjoy an afternoon snack, I prepare carrot and cucumber sticks and dip it in salsa instead of using tortilla chips. When eating pretzels or chips, serve them in a bowl instead of eating it in the bag so you can control your portions and see how much you had

Great addition ladies! If you do need to eat chips, have baked chips rather than the regular ones. I personally prefer tortilla chips as they have lesser calories and fats compared to potato chips.

That's right. An ounce of plain corn based tortilla chips has 139 calories and plain potato chips has 152 calories. Whole grain tortilla chips is even better with 140 calories but twice the amount of fiber
