Default Does Your Diet Affect Your Mood?
I read an article from ABC News and I thought I'd share it here.

It said that low carb diet and low fat diet can affect the dieters mood. According to the research, individuals on a low fat diet maintained a positive mood throughout the year while those on a low carb diet only had the same effect on the first few weeks of their diet. Their findings suggests that low carb diet can depress moods and wear you down. Carbohydrates helps our brain produce serotonin, that's a chemical responsible for lifting up our mood so if you're on a low carb diet, it can negatively affect your mood.

Not all experts agree with this findings though. I guess it really depends on the individual. Some are more sensitive to carbs while some are not.

Which diet do you think is better? Low fat or Low Carb?

Interesting kathy.. I guess it depends on the person. Low fat diet works for some people and not experience negative moods.

If I had to decide which is better between low fat and low carb diet, I would choose low carb.. I know it says it can affect you mood but i think too much carbs is one of the main reason why people gain weight..
