Default Just A Short Introduction
I'm new to this forum and thought it only proper to introduce myself. I'm 42, a homemaker and as of tonight I weigh 265.6 pounds. That's hard to admit, but it's true. I've lived this way long enough and I'm ready to make changes. I know it won't be easy, money is very tight and I struggle to stay on track, but I'm hoping that I'll soon make friends here and will be able to give as well as receive support. You all seem like a real friendly bunch. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Good luck!

Sorry I missed your post earlier...

So glad to meet you!

I wish you the very best and hope you will post often, respond to posts, ask questions...etc.

Tril is THE ONE! She can and will answer questions you have.

Me? I'm a bit of a cheerleader as I LOVE this plan and have success. What motivates me? Hearing from new folks just starting out...excited and successful...so I can keep at it and change my OLD ways to NEW ways for the rest of my life, and LOVE IT!!!!

Welcome Sugar!

I just had my first child almost 6 weeks ago and am trying to get back on track before I go back to work in 2 1/2 weeks. I weighed 262 when I had him and I am currently at 230. I would really like to lose another 10 lbs by Sept 8th when I return to work. Don't know if that will happen but I am going to aim for it anyway.

I did Atkins about 8 years ago and lost 80 lbs in 10 months. I kept most of it off for 6 years but then slipped and gained it all back plus added my pregnancy weight to it. I have a few new goals this time. For one I don't want to be a FAT mom and I would love to get Invisalign to straighten my teeth. My husband agreed that if I can get down to 150 then I can get them. That isn't my final goal but I thought that it was a good number to work at and then hopefully I will have the motivation to get to my goal of 130 so my body and my mouth can go hand in hand together. I would love to have a great open mouth smile and a body that looks fabulous all at the same time.

I spend less on food when I follow this way of eating then my "normal" old bad ways - less take-out, less junk, more real food. Seems like I spend more at the grocery - but when I add up all that I don't spend on - I come out way ahead.
