I'm new to this forum and thought it only proper to introduce myself. I'm 42, a homemaker and as of tonight I weigh 265.6 pounds. That's hard to admit, but it's true. I've lived this way long enough and I'm ready to make changes. I know it won't be easy, money is very tight and I struggle to stay on track, but I'm hoping that I'll soon make friends here and will be able to give as well as receive support. You all seem like a real friendly bunch. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Welcome Sugar!
I just had my first child almost 6 weeks ago and am trying to get back on track before I go back to work in 2 1/2 weeks. I weighed 262 when I had him and I am currently at 230. I would really like to lose another 10 lbs by Sept 8th when I return to work. Don't know if that will happen but I am going to aim for it anyway. I did Atkins about 8 years ago and lost 80 lbs in 10 months. I kept most of it off for 6 years but then slipped and gained it all back plus added my pregnancy weight to it. I have a few new goals this time. For one I don't want to be a FAT mom and I would love to get Invisalign to straighten my teeth. My husband agreed that if I can get down to 150 then I can get them. That isn't my final goal but I thought that it was a good number to work at and then hopefully I will have the motivation to get to my goal of 130 so my body and my mouth can go hand in hand together. ![]() ![]() |
