Default why am I suddently low on energy??
HI you all

I noticed yesterday and today I feel really tired in the morning, and when I did my regular work out routine I feel like I just can't get that energy level up...I ate the same and did not cheat by all means, although my period is coming soon(should be within the next few days) is this the reason i suddently lost my energy level??

does anyone know??

I'm on day 11 and I also had a hard time doing my pilates class today. I have been very strict with induction and I'm following the rules but I'm just weak.

It's quite common to feel lethargic the first couple of weeks. Your body is used to using a fast acting fuel source... glucose. When that's no longer available, it will struggle at first. But give your body time to produce the enzyme necessary to use fatty acids for fuel and you'll get your energy back. I will still have days where I feel like my legs are made of concrete. Other days, I don't have that. Be sure you're taking a multi-vitamin and getting plenty of water throughout the day. Dehydration will drag your energy level down, too. Also... make sure you're really getting all 20g of carbohydrate each day.

During this time, it's ok to cut back on your workout routine. Listen to your body and do what you can.

Tril

What I can't figure out is: how is it that I had some crazy-energy days and now I'm weak? I thought I was over the carb withdrawal hump and looking at a surge in energy. So, you're saying that it's normal to go back and forth between lethargy and energy during induction? I've been eating my carbs, btw, drinking but no multi vitamin though. I take calcium, magnesium, Vitamin C and sometimes I remember my probiotics and kelp!

It has been exactly that for me (for real, no sarcasm).

I don't treat the Atkins products the same way I do the book.

Unfortunately, Dr. Atkins is no longer with us, and although they've left the book alone, I am very uncomfortable with some of the "nutrition" products they have on the market.

My advice is just to stay away from them completely, no matter what phase you're in - but no, one bite isn't likely to have done any lasting damage.

yeah I was not planing on putting these products into my diet anyways.. only because I think it will be easier for me to fall off the wagon if I had a taste of it...I never had a sweet tooth , instead I am a bread and starch lover... but thank God I have not had any cravings so far.....keeping my fingers crossed
