Default The Reason We Do This
Hey Guys,

I just wanted to touch base with everyone and give you a quick, and hopefully, motivating reason to keep sticking to this way of eating, and to work hard at getting yourself not only slimmer, but HEALTHIER.

My brother in law (sister's husband) turned 30 this year. He is probably at least 150 to 200 lbs overweight. He eats horribly. He has a stressful job, works long hours, and rarely takes time off or gets exercise of any kind. He had a lap band put in about 4 years ago, lost some initially, but gained it all back because he never changed his lifestyle. He has a history of cardiovascular disease in his family.... He had a heart attack today.

He should be fine, it was about as mild of a heart attack as you can have and it still be a heart attack, so don't worry. And he has family there to support him. But please remember that every time you want to eat a ton of junk food, slack off on your water and exercise, and let your weight start slipping back up, you could be putting your life at risk. Maybe not today, or even tomorrow, but the risk is there, and you're too important to your loved ones to let yourself fall into that trap! We all have bad days, but don't let it turn into bad years.

I hope for only the best for each and every one of you on your journey to health and fitness (and skinny jeans too ) May you have many, many years ahead of you to spend with your friends and loved ones. I'm signing off for a few days and vacation. I can't wait to talk with you all when We get back!!![/list]

Thanks for that great reminder, OE! We often get bogged down on the weight loss... and we need to remember WHY the weight loss is so important. Smaller jeans are nice, a longer HEALTHIER life is priceless.
