I was reading the story on Glenn Beck's pro-Israel "Restoring Courage" Rally in Jerusalem and was surprised to read about Sheikh Abdel-Khaer Jabari:
A letter was read aloud at the event from Muslim Sheikh Abdel-Khaer Jabari of Hebron, who is a well-known defender of Israel. "You are congratulated for organizing a rally of Jews and Christians standing for Israel," Jabari wrote. "I greet you with the courage of a loving friend. May we truly act arm and arm together and bring the one God to the universe united in peace." source: http://www.jpost.com/MiddleEast/Article.aspx?id=235285 |

Beck's struggles with substance abuse. A recovering alcoholic and drug addict,[22] Beck has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.[23][24] By 1994, Beck was suicidal, and imagined shooting himself to the music of Kurt Cobain.[23] He credits Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) with helping him achieve sobriety. He said he stopped drinking alcohol and smoking cannabis in November 1994, the same month he attended his first AA meeting.[23] Beck later said that he had gotten high every day for the previous 15 years, since the age of 16.[18] He knows how to work the crowd and what to say to get people aroused. He's milking popularity from the insecure by preaching to the converted and they love it. Because they need it. I have met Glenn Becks but usually they are selling secondhand cars. |
