Default Who Are The Rothchilds?
Ive been reading alittle on this subject but what is on the internet is limited to conspiracy theories, Illuminati and so on, Can anyone here recomend a good book that will give accurate information not fairlytales ie Shape shifting repitilians is just one of the crazy stories ive come across.
In a nutshell, they were innovative bankers, who used various modern banking techniques such as currency and money transfers, bond investments, market analysis, newsgathering, and stock speculation to make money. One of their main innovations was the international outlook. They established banking houses (i.e. branches) in a number of European countries. The clients could deposit money into one branch and withdraw it at another, usually international location.

They also established a newtwork of news gatherers, operated for the large part by carrier pigeons, which allowed them to get their news before anyone else. Most of their fortune, however was a result of financing the British against Napoleon, and by successful stock market speculations.

Baron Edmond Rothschild was an important figure in early Zionist history. He funded and maintined the settlements of the first aliayh (I think there were some 14 such settlements) among them Rishon Lezion, Zichron Yaakov, Gdera and Hadera. All of these settlements were economic disasters and none could have survived w/o Rothschild's extensive funding.

You could say that Rothschild provided the needed financial infrastructure that got the Zionists on their feet and eventually brought the present independant state of Israel.

He was named as "the known philantropist". There are many towns, avenues and places named after him in Israel. among them is Kibutz Ramot Hanadiv.
