First, HRW is funded by EU govt sources, a violation of its statement of principles, and a violation of its tax-exempt status, which I am seeking to revoke.

Second, in the 3 weeks of this war, HRW issued ONE statement on Hezboollah's War Crimes, and that was only AFTER it faced massive pressure from many critics. That statement was made on July 18th, almost a full week AFTER Hezboolah had been firing rockets into israeli civilian population centers.

Third, HRW is clearly a non-objective organization, and its unwillingess to publicise its donor list is proof positive of its biases. There have been statements made that this abomination has been funded by the Saudis, who seem to financially support any and every organ that is anti-Western.

THey only fired them after Israel invaded. The original excuse for the IDF invasion was the kidnap of the 2 soldiers. Even after 911, Bush gave the Taliban 4 weeks to hand over Bin Laden. Why didn't Israel try this? They are a warmongering state. No wonder the Muslims hate them when they are always being bombed by them, not to mention the illegal occupation of the West Bank, Gaza and Golan in violation of UN Resolution 242. Yet Israel feels it can tell Lebanon to implement Resolution 1559.

Most of those Hezbollah rockets are not killing civilians anyway. 900 Lebanese killed compared to 55 Israelis of which most are soldiers. Israel is clearly using excessive force and is nearing Hitler's 50:1 ratio. King Herod springs to mind.

Understanding the wider context is not the same as "making excuses". Everything has to be seen in context. And btw, if someone was occupying my country, I would probably be throwing rocks too and fighting their soldiers. As I'm sure you would if a foreign country was occupying your country. It's how nations protect themselves from attack. But even in war, there has to be care to minimise civilian casualties. Otherwise war will return to the barbarism of the Middle Ages.
