One reason might be that if any elected official of any Arab country opened his mouth it wouldn’t take long before it was closed permanently. From day one their history reeks of assassinations poisoning, slit throats and the like. That’s the way it’ll remain until the end a few months ago there was an assassination attempt directed at the King of Saudi Arabia. One reason most Muslims don’t have a pot to ____ in is because their leaders have to spend all the money on bodyguards. To control masses you have to give them a bit of hope and someone to hate. Hitler did that and Arafat took lessons from history and did just that. In his younger days Arafat saw conquest of the Middle East before his eyes but that has faded away. A paper was released the other day in Britain in it Jordan asked for Israel’s help with the Palestinian problem. I think that Jordan snookered Israel when it didn’t make demands for the return of the West Bank. You take it please we don’t want it. |
