Default The Protomen - Cease and Desist letter
Capcom issues a cease and desist to The Protomen recently, forcing them to cancel their concerts.

Major bummer for fans of the band. Luckily it sounds like they plan to fight it.

Oh Capcom, how else will you destroy your franchise today?

This is a travesty. They are/were actually a good band. This makes me support Capcom even less.

This makes me glad that Clover split from them, and merged with Platinum Games.

Seriously, publishers should realize that cutting off fan-projects harms their franchises more than it helps them.

Open and shut case, the Protomen could be considered parody and thus constitutes fair use. End of case, Good guys win, bad guys lose and as always, england prevails

Definitely a bummer. I certainly hope rei is right in the matter. I enjoyed their music and hope to see that they continue.

That's a huge relief I had the pleasure of going to one of their concerts last year at the Biltmore.
