Just started a remix of both 6:00 by Dream Theatre called 6AM, ("AM" stands for "Alternate Mix") and of Rush's Tom Sawyer. I need to get some instrumental tracks of them, as there's things I want to do with Tom Sawyer's track that I can't, as he insists on starting his vocals half-a-beat before the bar. (The upbeat, I believe they call it. Not sure.)

Big fan of some of the 8-Bit remixes that have been floating around YouTube in recent times. Once I get these simple re-edits down, I'm going to experiment with using those kinds of sounds in them to give them a truly different sound to the original. Right now its mostly extending sections and reordering riff and fill placements around, so it's not all that original, but I'm using it as a starting point so I don't try to do too much at first.

Though I'm tempted to come back at a later date, as they are rather long songs.
