hip hop/rap is the same fucking thing and you're a rapper. i hate folks who think theres some sort of difference. If you listen to KRS One hip Hop is supposed to be the culture that encompasses all the elements but nowadays its used interchangeably with rap music. There's no difference. Fans create the difference by being misinformed.

And not all west coast hip hop was founded on gangsta rap... BEP is from LA originally... Bay area rappers like Heiro, Grouch, and cats like Pharcyde werent gangsta and id hardly call tech N9ne gangsta.... I've never heard him talk about gang banging or gun clapping.
