Default Best. Concert. EVER!
Last night I went to an amazing concert. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill organized it to raise money to help flood victims from the huge flood we had in May. Here are the artists that appeared:

  • Carrie Underwood
  • Blake Shelton
  • Trace Adkins
  • Lynard Skynard (so much fun)
  • Michael W. Smith
  • Amy Grant
  • Montgomery Gentry
  • Taylor Swift (wow...she is really bad live)
  • Luke Bryant
  • Leann Rimes (she looked fantastic)
  • Martina McBride
  • ZZ Top (personal favorite)
  • Julie Roberts
  • Miranda Lambert
  • Jason Aldean
  • Billy Ray Cyrus (he is disgusting)
  • Miley Cyrus
  • Toby Keith
  • Sandra Bulllock (didn't sing of course, but she was hilarious)
  • Faith Hill
  • Tim McGraw
They sang two songs each. I wouldn't call myself a huge country music fan or anything but it really was fantastic. It was crazy to see so many artists at one time!

So many people donated time and money to help out with everything. They now say over 2 million dollars was raised last night. I think it is fantastic how the music scene pulled this together to help those who really do need it.

I think if you were there you would have thought differently. I brought one of my girlfriends from Ohio who totally doesn't get country music. She threw a fit about going. I pleaded until she finally agreed to go with me. And wouldn't you know it, she had the best time ever!

I'm not much of a country fan either but I know for a fact seeing live acts instead of listening to recorded stuff is like comparing apples to oranges. There's something special about live acts regardless of who they are... except for maybe Celine Dion.

2 million? Thats from ticket sales I assume...half of those artists could have matched that 2 mill...wonder if any did.

I would go if I could kick Blake Shelton in the balls and give Sandra Bulluck a hug.

She is from Nashville, so yes she was there. She is surprisingly very good live. A much better singer than Taylor Swift. After seeing her father, it is no wonder the poor girl has issues. He is a mess.

It raised 2 million between ticket sales and donations from local businesses. Tickets were actually very cheap. They could have asked a lot more from them and made a ton more money. Guess they did it so everyone could come? I dunno. Our tickets were only 30 bucks a piece after ticketmaster taxes and everything.

And Dex, I think if Tech N9ne performed, some of my fellow Nashvillians heads would have exploded. Might have been kind of funny actually...
