You know, I agree with some of those bands, but several on that list are just make my ears bleed. Then again... "the best bands" tends to be a very subjective thing. Here's a few more I liked... Animals Spencer Davis Group Small Faces Dave Clark Five Herman's Hermits Manfred Mann Moody Blues Gerry & The Pacemakers Dusty Springfield Cream Yardbirds Lead Zepplin The list is endless......... |

The earlier ones ie: Beatles, Stones, Joe Cocker et el are the ones I'm talking about. I'm not much of a fan past 20 years ago. Those bands did so much to change the definition of rock and roll. I can't imagine what type of music would be around if it wasn't for the likes of them. Like I said before you had to have lived it to understand. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

There is no question the Brits in the 60's had a ton of groups ![]() ![]() When it comes to bands, the best bands are British. Although, Ian, I think you should very quickly take Oasis and Coldplay off that list before people realise they're English and we're too blame for them. But the best songwriters are American\Canadian. As for guitarists, we're about equal. Wa'hey! ![]() ![]() |
