Can they please not make anymore music, I liked their classic stuff but their last album sucked and I wasn't impressed on this one either.

I gave it 2 out of 5.

Sorry, but it seemed forced, sterile and commercial. And I agree with the above, Hetfield has always maintained strong ownership of all the lyrics and most of the music, I say......Retire.

No way you can bring back the old school, then stay good and gone.

Seriously, it was way too polished, Rick Rubin is a genius, so he really should have pulled them to the side and said...

"Hey newbs.......remember Ride The Lightning?........remember Kill 'em all?......I should kick you all in the twat......now get back in there and give me something to produce......Or i'll kill your parents with a hatchet"

Something along those lines, I mean Metallica created a genre 20 years ago, they are supposed to SET the trend, not follow it.

IMO, If Cliff Burton never died, Metallica would still be good.

Newstead was the man, too. Remember its not like he had a ton of creative freedom in the band. Its always been Lars, James and Kirks show.

But tbh Ive heard positive things about this album.
