People... you need to work on your damned reading comprehension.

Any clearer now?
if you didn't want comments on your list, i'd suggest next time you write them on a piece of paper, and mail it to yourself.

Default Greatest Guitar Solos of All Time.
Yes folks, here is MY list of my favorite guitar solos of all time. GNR, Sweet Child O Mine is listed as number three because Zeppelin and Skynyrd have HARD yet AWESOME solos, but it's still my favorite song of all time. As for The Metallica song I chose, I just love the solo, but I had a hard time choosing from a lot of the 80s Metallica songs.

I mostly listen to classic rock, alternative, metal and rock, so this is where I'm basing my top 10 in.

10. Slipknot - Psychosocial

9. Disturbed - Inside the Fire

8. Van Halen - Eruption

7. Eric Johnson - Cliffs of Dover

6. The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again

5. The Outlaws - Green Grass and High Tides

4. Metallica - Enter Sandman

3. Guns N Roses - Sweet Child 'O Mine

2. Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven

1. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird

meh... he's a performer, not a musician who memorizes 3-4 cds worth of his own songs.

But you see, that isn't one of MY favorite bands/solos. Who the heck is it anyway, Petinator?

No I'm not joking. If its hendrix, then I don't listen to nor do I like hendrix.

Yes it's Hendrix! I'm just shocked thatyou couldn't instantly recognise what is widely considered to be the greatest guitar solo ever, regardless of you feelings about it!

yeah he's a great guitarist, but I can't stand his songs simply because his voice, so ergo... his songs aren't in my list of favorites.

Slipknot writes guitar solos?! WHAT?!

Besides the Disturbed and the Slipknot solos, I like your list. Here is my favorite.

Deicide-The Stench of Redemption (solo starts at 2:29)

I can't get on board with your list at all, I'm afraid

Like Stairway To heaven, when Page has done about 400 better solos.

We'll make a Southerner out of you yet. We could have visisted the grave of the dead half of them while you were down here.

I'd put my vote in for:

keep it simple. 1 guitar, 1 amp, no effects.

Well, when you can play guitar like the two solos you denounced, then you can talk. Otherwise that takes some skill to pull off.
