I had a hard time putting this in here or the WWE discussion board but since im here to talk about his music career I thought I would put it here.
I for one used to listen to rap but fell out of it into other forms of music. Now im sure most of you know whos hot and whos not in the urban world of freestyle,hip-hop and rap so I ask you this.Judging from you have heard so far....does John Cena have the lyrics and flowing style to take a seat in the hip hop world? |

Even though he's on MTV.com and making it big in WWE, I don't see much of a serious music career for him. He's a pro wrestler first, then a rapper. People will just see him as a wrestler trying to rap. He's much better than the Macho Man...then again who isn't?
![]() As for the new album, I got to hear it today and from what I've heard so far, it's not so bad. Last night on Byte This!, he said the whole thing was done the way he wanted it and it's an easy listen for everybody. |

God damn... I hate rap, but I dled the new Cena album, and its really good.
He's got some good flowing skills, but the thing is, it's not just Cena, its a guy called Trademark. I can't wait for the new video showing tonight, it looks f'ing hilarious. BTW, if anyone wants a copy of the album to d/l, PM me and I'll hook ya up. But just make sure you have Winrar. Later oN *...SlasH...* [ May 05, 2005, 06:02 PM: Message edited by: SlasH ] |

Actually believe it or not, on this rap message board I go to people are being pleasantly suprised by this album. I heard a few tracks of it since I downloaded it last night and I'm not gonna say it's outstanding or whatever but I'll just say it's really suprising.
It is listenable a few times which is a helluva lot better than most albums that have been coming out lately. |

Just listened to the album, and I'm quite amazed. I think Cena has the talent to go further with his music career but whether he's going to do that or not are two totally different things.
The beats are done well, and sound a lot similar to the type of beats Dre/Shady Aftermath makes. And the lyrics aren't too bad either. The flow very nicely and are not littered with cursing. Best songs on the album in my opinion are: - Make It Loud - We Didn't Want You to Know (I like this one the best) - Chain Gang Is the Kilq - If It All Ended Tommorrow Its no surprise that the songs they are using to hype the album are actually the crappier ones. |

HAHAHAHA!
Shady signed Cena? PLEASE! Em would problery call him a fake Vanilla or Marky. The album is ok, Cena is reminding me of ICP. They didnt make it far in either wrestling or rap. But Cena can make it in wrestling, but i think the hip hop thing will not work for him. I'd laugh if he did a song with Marky Mark. |
