I think this will be there last breath of air, but they havn't released a new single like You Know You're Right, which IMO is one of their best songs. So I guess maybe this is just there last gift to the fans.

Default Nirvana Box Set- With The Lights Out
Any other Nirvana fans out there who have got the Nirvana box set, or are planning on getting it?

I'm thinking of getting it, but damn, its expensive. $60, regular $73 (Canadian). So if I'm going to get it, now is the time.

Does anyone have it, and if so, is it worth spending that much money on?

I don't care for Nirvana.
But that's worth $60

figure 3 CDs around $15 each retail a DVD, boxset package- and a lot of content they decided at some point they were never going to give you 'cause it wasn't 'to the level.'

But I'm also a collector- I mean I have three versions of The Downward Spiral now that they [NIN] released two 10th anniversary special edition this week.

I completely disagree w/ Slash...well in a way...

first: one of my favorite Nirvana songs is Polly (but ONLY the version found on "From The Muddy Banks of The Wishkah)

second: I think as long as they can release new books, cds, posters, etc. there is always going to be someone out there that will buy it just because it's Nirvana...

Nirvana is one of my favorite bands, but they're so over-rated.

So anyways...Boxsets for any band are usually pretty good...even if you don't listen to the cds...They're still cool to have...

The Cannibal Corpse boxset for example is very good...it includes a COMIC BOOK! 8-) eh.

I'll most likely be picking this up soon...hopefully FYE will have it as I'll be in there sometime this week. And for the guy who said he would have to bootleg it...How exactly can you bootleg a Boxset?...and even if you find someway...it won't have the essential value of a boxset..lol

Its basically all un-released tracks. There's 3 CD's with over 60 songs, including demos, live performances, acoustic solos of some songs that have already been released, rehearsals, radio performances, outtakes, and I think some earlier versions of some songs. There's a DVD also, with 20 tracks of mostly rehearsals and live shows, and a music video for In Bloom.

There's also a small book, about the band pretty much, but I haven't had a very close look at it yet.

It was a pretty good purchase, but some of you may want to wait for a price drop.

My friend bought it and he said it probably wasn't worth 60 some odd dollars for it.
