lol i forgot about that White Stripes song...and yes i totally agree Elephant is one of the best cds i have ever heard, i mean come on any cd that has a kick ass Burt Bacharach cover on it is bound to be a timeless classic, lol...but in all honesty that is a great song and the cd was just brilliant.

Usually by the last song you are couting down the seconds until a cd is over, but what are your favorite songs to end a cd?
Hurt~Nine Inch Nails (Downward Spiral, And All that could've been: NIN Live) After All these Years~Silverchair (Diorama) Both excellent songs...Hurt is defintely one of my top 10 songs of all time. And after all these years is a great way to finish out one of my favorite cds of all time. l8ter |

If I'm counting down the seconds for a CD to end- that must mean I don't like the CD- which typically means I don't own it.
Hurt is deffinately a great closer- which is why Trent ends nearly every or every show with that song since it was created. I'll vote: NIN - Hurt (Downward Spiral, and All That Could Have Been.live) NIN - Suck (Broken) |

song 'Diary of a madman' on the album Diary fo a madman, Ozzy Osbourne
this is one of my fave songs of all time, its terk jerkingly good, and musically fantastic, and it was Randy rhodes pouring his soul into guitar as normal, fantastic Damage Inc -Master of puppets - metallica to me, this song is metallica. everythign they stood for, themselfs, the fans, and what they overcame. its simply the best song to end thier best album on. The Tourist - Radiohead - Ok computer the perfect ending to one of the greatest albums ever made. multilayered, emotional, meaningful, and a fine song Its true that we love one another - Elephant - white stripes personally thought it was a genious and touching ending to what i belive in one of the best album of the last 10 years. I am The Ressurection - the stone roses - the stone roses. one of the most higly regarded albums of all time, an album of near perfection, originality, style, ends perfectly with this powerful track. personally, if u havent heard this album, i reccoment rushing out and buying it, because, words cant describes just how damn good it is. |

Soundgarden- Like Suicide (from Superunknown)
everything about this song is amazing, the lyrics, the buildup, the amazing solo. it's probably my personal favorite song ever Pink Floyd- Brain Damage/Eclipse (from Dark Side of the Moon) even though it's really 2 different songs, u can't really listen to them alone since they're meant to go together. and for some reason that last line of talking always gets me- "There is no dark side of the moon. As a matter of fact it's all dark" Tool- Third Eye (from Aenima) another great song and a great way to close the album. the buildup in the song is amazing |

Coldplay - "Amsterdam"
The integration of piano into modern rock as we know it has produced some amazing results (Ben Folds being a great example). This song sums up the album very well. Pearl Jam - "Release" "Ten" is easily the best alternative CD of the 90s. This CD puts a perfect cap on an amazing album. John Mayer - "St. Patrick's Day"/"Wheel" Plainly and simply, the man knows how to construct an album. The Beatles - "A Day In The Life" Greatest...album...ever. |
