Eh, NIN is a really crappy example of industrial, but it works, it is watered down. Industrial uses alot of electronic drum machines and beats in the background. Usually with a singer in the front. Some pretty good industrial bands are Skinny Puppy, KMFDM (kind of industrial), Velvet Acid Christ, and alot more.

I wouldnt consider Rob Zombie industrial, he is more just a dark rock from White Zombie, and a radio rock now. Some of his songs have a industrial feel to them, but he isnt classified as industrial.

Yea, Industrial is like what Nine Inch Nines does...has alot of "industrial" sounds...if u know what I am sayin....

Default Music Term/Lingo - Industrial, what does it mean exactly?
What the hell is Industrial as a genre? Does it have to do with dark synthesiser sounds or what?
