I am letting you know that I can no longer continue my show due to several reasons. The main factor is personal but other factors have also forced me to take this decision, listed below are the other reasons.

I am continuously giving out the email address and sms number but hardly ever receive any kind of response other than from friends which makes me wonder if my show is actually getting listened to at all other than the people I have told about it, I have been told it is but yet to see some definite proof. I spend a lot of my freetime searching for the tracks I play and then even more time listening to them to make sure that they are clean enough to air out as certain words do crop up in tracks and are not allowed to be aired. I even asked an artist to edit his song for me which he said he would but nothing came of that so I hd to edit myself.

Then there is the expenses situation, I spend £14 out of our family benefits each week to go to the station and have been told on numerous occasions that I cant have my bus fare back as its not available in petty cash which to be honest I feel is wrong.

Accessing the studio is sometimes difficult as there is people in there who won't leave until about 10 minutes before I am due on air, for a normal everyday show that's fine I guess but my show requires me to bring in new tracks everyday to put onto the pc, of which I then have to spend time preparing the tracks making sure they are tagged properly as some people cannot be bothered to when they make their track. If I don't they risk being deleted. Also on more than one occasion I am having to mention that the people above the studio are making too much noise and even though I get told its going to be dealt with you can still hear it, if I can hear it so can my listeners and if I wanted a backing track then I would load up a bed to talk over. Alot of the time it could just be the person above has been there all day and therefore didn't know a show was happening but several people pass the studio each day and see me or someone else sat there so they should really be able to figure out that if someone is in the radio studio they could be doing a show or at least ask if they are.

In a several months I may apply again to do a radio show but whether or not its accepted is a different thing.
