you say it is about letting go and just letting it happen. can you expand on what you mean... like as in how? how does one just let go and let it happen.. i try to let go ... but i dont know if i am truly letting go the way that i should. i see colours moving around like clouds but i cannot seem to see life like things ...my imagination cannot see such things at this time. i have been meditating for months and all i can see is colours and the odd pinhole light...i cant see a staircase or my own utopia i cannot see my guides or hear anything. is there something i am not getting about this whole thing?

Blessed,
First of all, welcome to SB! I hear a lot of frustrations and expectations in your posts. Meditate with the intention of meeting your guide, but the acceptance that it is ok if you don't as the Universe will know best when you are ready. Be grateful for what you do get, and by acknowledging that, it may open up new doors for you. Many people don't even see colors when they start. I felt and still feel very fortunate that I was able to. Just enjoy the color show, and before you know you will meet your guide. I think it took me about a week's worth of genuinely being grateful and enjoying my "light show" before I heard my guide for the first time. Good luck, and enjoy your journey....Everything happens in God's good time. |

As you can tell by my title, I'm still very early into my spiritual development. I've practiced grounding and protecting myself and lately have been listening to guided meditations to help introduce me to my spirit guides. I have no trouble envisioning the situations as it's described, however, when I reach the destination and I'm alone waiting for my guides. I never sense anything. No feelings, sounds and certainly nothing visual. I don't know what to do. It's kind of frustrating to me. Most things in my life I find fairly easy, or can at least make progress with effort. Where it comes to developing myself spiritually I think I'm retarded or something. Are there any words of wisdom to help me on my way?

Yes, your post says it all. You "EXPECT" most things in your life to come to you quickly. Well this is unlike anything you work with that uses mind.
Our spirit is separate from our mind. When we connect to our guides, we use our higher self aka spirit/soul. You will progress as fast as you are meant to. It can be quite frustrating. It can take months. Keep working on it. Don't expect to do the guided meditation 3x and then meet and see your guides. It can happen but usually does not. I know people who have done this meditation 2x a day for 40 days and finally... They see colors. Be patient. This is not a race and it will not come to you with your own "want". It is more about letting go of want, expectations and preconceived notions. It is about just BE-ing and allowing |

When it comes to your spiritual development there is no quick way. It a wonderful journey that deserves to be taken at its own pace. Especially when it comes to guides. I have seen clients and students of mine take months and in a few cases years before contact was made. Be patient. When you rush things you learn nothing, when you take your time you learn from the journey as well as the end destination.

Hey Perthius, you're not alone. It's been over a year for me, although I can't really blame anyone else as a lot of the time it's just me who's not spending enough time at it. I've gotten a few signs that may or may not be my guides reaching out to me, it might just be my wishful thinking, but it might not.

Well I have an update:
I attempted guided spirit guide meditations several times yesterday. I believe I may of finally made some sort of contact. I've never randomly imagined things while meditating before so I hope it's for real. Anyhow, I kept seeing this giant viking looking guy. No matter how hard i tried, I couldn't see many details. I started asking a million questions trying to elicit a response. Suddenly I saw an image of a large horned animal that looked like an ox to me. I'm not a farmer of any sort, so I wouldn't know for sure. That would certainly be interesting though because a lot of my online friends know me by the name "oxrock". Towards the end I asked "is there anything important I should know?" Out of the blue I see characters from a medieval period video game I sometimes play fighting. I honestly don't know what any of it would mean. My imagination has never run away on me in the past but anything is possible. |

I think you have met one of your spirit guides & a totem too. I meditated many times before seeing my guide. I had never seen anything before. I was getting a sense of my guide before because I felt a touch on my right upper arm & would hear a word or it would happen when I reading something that I realized was a message from my guide. Anyway I was so excited, but later had a little doubt. The reason for the doubt was I was not expecting to see what I did. My guide touched my arm like always & I ask him to step in front of me so I could see him. He came around in front of me & he was on a horse. I wasn’t expecting a horse. I don’t always seem him when we talk but when he does show himself he always comes on the horse. He reaches down & pulls me up on the horse. Sometimes we walk along a stream & let the horse drink.
I googled ox animal totem & this is the 1st site that came up. http://www.manizone.co.uk/wild-totem-a-17.html The Wild Ox Totem The Wild Ox Totem indicates beauty and strength, sacrifice. This animal has long been associated with the ability to learn new things. The Wild Ox is a very intelligent animal and they were domesticated because they could be easily taught to take on farming tasks that took other animals too long to accomplish. They are also legendary for their amazing strength and endurance. Paul Bunyan’s companion was Babe the Blue Ox. The Enduring Wild Ox Totem possesses the following virtues: Beauty, strength, sacrifice, friendship, intelligence, ability to learn and absorb new information well, patience, endurance, cooperation and hard work. Wild Ox Animal Pearls are said to impart their particular magical virtues to their owner. Wild Ox Pearls are characteristic of its host; they possess all the tremendous characteristics that may be seen in the Wild Ox itself; the strength and intelligence of this animal is contained within the pearl waiting for its proper owner to bestow its inner magic to that unique and fortunate individual. For century’s shamans, priestesses, spiritualists and practitioners of the occult have used Wild Ox animal pearls to transfer the powerful magical energy of the Wild Ox to themselves and to others in need of this commanding animal magic. Wild Ox pearls are highly sought after by any wishing to absorb Wild Ox like virtues into their lives and develop stronger mental abilities such as those embodied by this magnificent creature. The owner of a Wild Ox pearl will see their lives, spiritual energy and mental clarity imbued with all of the virtues attributed to the “Learner” of the animal kingdom, the Wild Ox. The Wild Ox animal totem is a strong spirit indeed and its magical properties are one of the most enduring of all animal totems. Strength, friendship, cooperation, and so much more can be integrated into the spirit of the possessor of this magical pearl and the Wild Ox totem. There are plenty more sites to read from. I am happy for you! |
