Hi All,
Recently I started a petition at Change.org to get the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) to finally air the award-winning film 65_Redroses, which was supposed to be shown this past spring. The film chronicles the heroic struggle of Eva Markvoort who suffered most of her life with terminal Cystic Fibrosis. She died of CF at 25 on March 27, 2010. Problem is, OWN has the distribution rights and therefore Canada cannot legally sell any American the DVD of the film - or even allow us to view it for free online as Canadians can. And 65_Redroses has already been shown in other countries. Please sign this petition and spread it to anyone you feel may be interested! http://www.change.org/petitions/opra...ibution-rights 65_Redroses Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ulsm7Ai-yZY September 2009 Message From Eva Markvoort: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4N9GH...eature=related A glimpse of Eva's acting and comedic talent: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJlIu...eature=related Canadian News video report from October 2009 which really serves to encapsulate the struggle of Eva Markvoort, with scenes from her film 65_RedRoses: http://www.ctvbc.ctv.ca/servlet/an/l...shColumbiaHome Thank You & God Bless |
