Hi everyone, hope someone can help here. For days now when meditating I have been unable to contact my spirit guide. Although a bit annoying I am not particularly upset or troubled just curious. No problems meditating, reaching my special place, opening the door but no-one is there. I wait and see if perhaps I feel his presence but nothing , what is going on here?

There could be 2 reasons. One is that you are becoming so dependent on them for assistance, they step back.

Two: It may be time for you to connect with other guides. Not just your main one.

I have 7 in total. Most have 2 at birth and more as they go through lessons in life.

They never "leave" us, but they do step back if you are asking for guidance all the time.

Thanks Laura, you may be correct I probably am depending too much on guidance. I just feel a bit lost without him. A lesson to be learned here, will stop being so dependent and just enjoy the meditation itself. Thanks once again for your guidance, don't know what I would do without you. Probably end up in a right muddle lol.

You find your special place, open the door, and your spirit guide isn't there? That may simply mean that, at that moment, your lesson lay elsewhere.

If I go to see my guide, and her door isn't glowing, I explore to see who/what may be there to instruct me, instead. As Laura says, we have many guides, and there are limitless numbers of advanced entities who are willing and often eager to help educate us.

And yes, if you become too dependent on your guide he/she will step back. Mine went to the extreme of displaying her usual self as floating limp and seemingly asleep in her quarters. I was so confused and disoriented and I didn't know what to do. At that point, I was 'summoned' by another entity, who asked me questions and hinted at past lives... and then finally asked if I knew who she was. When I said no, she told me that she was my spirit guide, but that I had become so dependent on the image I had of her that she had chosen to appear in another form. She then pointed out that the feelings I had for this second form were different than the love I felt for the original form. I was then warned about becoming overly attached and dependent on anyone, in spirit form or human.

Be patient, and explore. Wondrous things await us all.

Interesting experience Blue Tiger, because I enjoyed the feeling when meeting my guide perhaps I became slightly hooked. I have decide to concentrate on meditation and only seek my guide when really need guidance. I f of course my guide appears to me well that is different.
