Hello,I'm Jp and I have been having a few questions in mind and I would apreciate it if someone could attempt to answer them.1. Almost everytime(Including mornings) when I lay down and try to relax my body everything goes quite well I suppose but as soon as it even feels like im going into the trance state I fall asleep. I have tried to sort of persuade my sub-concious to not fall asleep but all my attempts were in vain and it does not work. I also tried binaural beats but with the same exact result.Note: I have never experianced OBE or Astral projection before, the closest I have come is a form of Lucid Dreaming.2. What are the best techniques for getting my body and my senses to "turn off" so to speak, as I am having what seems like an ongoing battle to drown out any form of sound that reaches me. I have tried not thinking about them but as soon as this happens, once again, I fall asleep.Note: I have ADD and concentrating to that point seems like an almost impossible goal to achieve.I must also mention that I have tried the sitting up technique which proved very successful but there is no well designed technique I can find to actually leave the body while sitting up.Any answers to my questions or atleast a step-by-step guide of some sort will be HIGHLY apreciated.Thanx to everyone who answers in advance

Hello Volpe. A few things:
The MAP program offers a step by step program to induce AP. (The book does, anyway.) If you can't afford it, you can follow the schedule cited in the stickied threads in the MAP section of the forum. The exercises are mostly spelled out and explained in the R & D section of the forum, and there you will find techniques for: Trance techs, energy body loosening and exit techniques. there is no well designed technique I can find to actually leave the body while sitting up. I project from a recliner, and all the techniques cited have worked for me except one, so this should be no problem. Good luck. C. |

A big part of avoiding falling asleep is "anchoring" for about 20 minutes or so to protect against loss of lucidity. Anchoring is basically any repetitive mental activity that keeps your attention. Try the vigil method created by Fred:
