i'd recommend polish film-director kieslovsky's trilogy "three colours" - "blue", in particular. it's a story of transcending ego projections and letting go of attachments.
yes, i agree that "blue" was a great movie. it's in french and stars juliet binochette who is a favorite of mine.

i've recently seen david lynch's "inland empire" twice and have to say that it is one of the best depictions of the "dreamscape" which i've seen. it is very dark sometimes and very hard to understand the first time you watch it, but i think it does reveal a certain light and reconciliation towards the end when "the girl in trouble" is reunited with her husband and son and is released from the tyranny of "the phantom" by laura dern. also, it is probably the best part dern has ever done. it's 3 hours long, and certainly not for everyone, but i loved it.

"phenomenon" is i think the movie greywolf69 was thinking of. it has john travolta as a man who gains powers because of a brain tumor. great movie!

also one of my favs is "resurrection" with ellen burstyn, circa 1980. she nearly dies in a car crash, and then, while paralyzed and in a wheelchair, she finds she has the power to heal. definitely a must-see.

i think you can learn things specific to your path from the movies that resonate with you but somehow seem to slip by the mainstream, like my two favorite movies have four of the biggest american film stars in them, yet are the absolute bottom of the barrel for ever being shown on tv or even being mentioned, tapeheads and joe vs. the volcano.

i think this is an example of the american machine, which is out of control. these movies are not rich in wisdom. i think it is just a way to make money for them. and we have to be discerning in figuring who to trust.

who to trust? i can't trust the media here in america and i can't trust the movies.

my whole life is built on who to trust. i have heard all 5 sides to all stories and all the conspiracy stories and all of the skeptics.

it is all about who do i trust??

myself. i trust me and only me, for now.

"powder" and "phenomena" (im not sure if its spelled right) and the "illusionist", in my opinion, show what we can do, even though there is much more that we can do. "k-pax" was also interesting, as was "the man from earth".

another film which i found was very powerful in revealing the sheer poetry and authenticity of being, is sally potter's "yes".
