hello to all-

curious if anyone has some insight that can help me understand the truth and meaning of the 13th constellation "ophiucus". i have read the stories of what some think...but how are we to read our zodiac of 12 signs if the is really 13?
i grew up thinking im a virgo. but when i look up the 13 signs, it shows im leo.

im not one to rule my day around horoscopes, but i think they can help us understand our life here in a whole, a bigger picture. virgo seems to fit how my life has turned out so far or i should say has helped me understand certain outcomes in my life. now, this leo thing, brings me to feel like i don't know myself in a strange way.

i once saw a list of many many constellations. this i found odd as well, it most defiantly shoots the 12 signs right out the window, and wont some of these signs change over time, or already have changed?

i am a star gazer, lover, ect...like many on here. ide like to know if others go by the 12 signs of the zodiac(by my understanding, this is the suns calendar), or if you go by the 13 signs of the zodiac(by my understanding this is the lunar calendar). correct me if im wrong in anything here...would love some feedback on this topic.

i was watching this documentary again last night "secret space time 2" from "enigma tv" all about ufo's and the last part was about the reptilians........

david, thank you for the great amount of info, its been a interesting night of reading to say the least. i see how these 13 signs tie together to a bigger picture.

im still stumped with this all because it changes my sign! i know this may seem silly to some. i don't know how to explain it. if i use all 13 signs, im not the virgo i thought i was...right? still not sure. some things i read lead me to think that the sun does not always fit into this 13th sign in every year. that might be wrong, not sure. im yet to find a birth chart wheel that will use the 13th sign as part of the wheel, so its kinda at my own opinion of it i guess.

so, tonight ive learned a great deal, but i will go to bed wondering-am i a virgo or a leo. like i said, some may think its silly, but this does trouble me. i want to know, for sure, what my constellation is. i will come to a decision im sure...and will post it if it comes to me soon. if anyone else cares to comment here about their own wonders about their actual birth sign, feel free to express and comment. i would love to hear any thoughts others have on this.

if you use the 13 signs, it doesn't change everyones birth sign. although i did find something interesting about my youngest son who just turned 2. his birthday falls in line with the 13th sign! -some things just make you go "hmmmmm"-ya know

well i think to answer this question properly one must ask themselves what are constellations? i can look up at the sky and connect the dots to see whatever i want. yet we follow the 12 constellations that were assigned long ago by our ancestors? this is because they have already integrated into our society. the human characteristics were already sorted out into the 12 constellations. i think the 13th constellation brings confusion to a person if he/she are used to following the 12. my approach to this and when i am asked to determine a personality type i look at the date of the birth closely. if it lies closely to another sign then it must share some attributes with the next sign. if it is in the dead middle then it is exactly as the sign description says. over all, if you've been following the 12 signs your whole life don't let the 13th confuse you... or the other way around =]
