I can't say I actually talk to a guide, per se, but a few months after I experienced a spiritual awakening a few years ago something pretty awesome happened to me. I'd grown up in a family where religion was not emphasized, and as such I had no real knowledge of the bible, and especially of angels. I'd always thought that angels were fantasies created to make us feel better, lovely drawings of entities with wings who graced Christmas cards during the holiday season.

Then one night I was sitting alone in my backyard, and I was in tears (long story about separation from someone). Tears were streaming down my face, and my emotions were so spent...I truly didn't know how I was going to get through my life. Suddenly I *heard* a voice, though it was not so much a voice as a thought form, and it said, 'Learn to love yourself and the rest will fall into place'. I was stunned, and for a moment didn't do anything. Then I reacted, by whispering, 'Who is this?', yet honestly not expecting to hear anything. But I did...I heard, 'Gabriel', 'Daniel', and 'Archangel'. I must say that this really shocked me, but the three words didn't make any sense to me, and I thought it was my mind making it all up. However, being curious, I went indoors and did a search on my computer, inputting those three words. And the information I got back stunned me. Gabriel was an archangel (I hadn't even known there was such a thing as archangels), and he was cited in the book of Daniel. When I learned this you could have knocked me over with a (angel ) feather! And a few weeks later I learned that Gabriel is also the archangel who is sent to deliver messages of hope to those who have lost faith, and he is also the angel who watches over those born on a Monday. (Guess what day I was born on? )

Ever since then I have had an unwavering belief in angels, and have absolute faith in them, as well as spirit guides. I must say that my introduction to them was a real eye-opener, but I've been in love with them ever since.

I have done a meditation to meet your guides. It was all very odd really. Before I came here I belonged to a similar site (it closed down) and there was a meditation to meet your guides. Most people had posted about their guides before but i had neverbeen interested enough to readany of it. but i decided to do the meditation.
I was on a beach,sitting at the edge of a forest when a tiger came upbehind me onmy right hand side. I wasworriedat first but it nudged me as a cat would so i pet it. Then there was a man standing in front of me. He was tall and dressed in black robes and hadlong dark hair. He asked me to walk with him so i did. I kept trying to see his face but all i saw in it's place was a hawks head. i couldnt' make out alot of what he said but he told me his name was Gene, but i kept getting the impression of the female form of the name.
After all this i posted my experience on the site. It turns out that i had explained someone's guide to them. Her totem animal was a tiger who always stayed to her right hand side. I described her guide to her exactly. He even showed up to her sometimes in the form ofa hawk. Gene was not her guide's name but Jean was her name! She even told me things about him and the tiger that i didn't mention. She said she asked her guide why he came to me and he told her that we were alot alike and had similar gifts in life and he knew that i needed something to validate my experience.
I meditated a second time to speak to him. He explained to me that it was the last time i would connect to him like that, he was only meant to introduce my real guide to me but that he would stay with me for a while. He told me my real guides name was Mariposa(?? possibly) and that she would teach me magic and healing. I had a vision of a woman with long red hair in a green velvet dress on her hands and knees drawing in the sand. After that I saw hawks everywhere! I never really didmeet Mariposa though. I tried the meditation but could never contact her. it's weird...

I first met myn when I was about 5 years old, I know it was oyunger but memory wise I was about five years old. I do not rememebr what we talkd about but I rememebr the feeling of them being there and I rememebr that we talked through mental telepathy, no physical voices needed. I also rememebr cleary crying, sobbing my heart out when they would have to go, I would beg them not to go, and felt like I hsould have been going with them. Its was very emotional for me, but they alwasy promised to come back and they did. Won't go into the whole story its too long, thats what my writing a book will be for!

So no fear just pure, pure love!

I'm brand new to this forum and to my awakening Spirituality. How do I try to contact/meet my spirit guides?

First of all Thursday, we all have someone who walks with us through our life time. Some people can feel them, some can't. One can learn how.

Gueniverem you truly do have a spirit guide. To learn how to talk and reach your guide it is usually performed through meditation.

1) Choose a quiet place, and with an open mind, meditate. It will take a while as we have outside influences (noises) that distract us. It will take time. Listen to the voices when you meditate -- usually they are trying to guide you or teach you something that you need to do.

2) Create yourself a circle of light (grounding always). I double it by asking the angels on high to come down with their wings spread to protect me. Once you have become accustomed to meditation and when you are ready, seek out a bright blue light, see it in your mind. By bringing this light through your eye (center of your forehead), envision that it is your spirit guide. Sense her/him coming through the stream of light. Keep in a relaxing mode.

3) Just listen and ask the spirit guide to come into your circle. If you feel hesitate about this presence then you can ask it to leave. It all depends on how you feel when the spirit guide enters the circle.

4) You can later ask questions like:

What's your name?
Are you male/female?
Is there a message you'd like to tell me?

Each person is different as I feel this is one's own personal experience.

That's excellent advice, Ladyisis. Close to what I follow. I was one of those people who thought I didn't have any guides or I was just never going to be able to contact them. Yes, it does take patience. I am still not 100% successful at it. But, it is amazing how my visual perceptions develop if I just stay patient and follow techniques suggested by others.

Hello Wondering.

so happy that you have a new faith with the angels. Angels are always around us and sometimes we forget that there are there for us.

as for you hearing them say their names? hmmm to my understanding and knowledge. angels don't talk.

I have known my spirit guide since I was eight. She is wonderful and she tells me alot of stories about the other side. and one of them is that angels don't talk.

What I can say is that you may have heard their names thru your own spirit guide. spirit guides are the only ones who can talk as far as that realm is concern. But nevertheless how exciting that you know who your main angels (at that time of your life) are.

The first time I really communicated with my main guide was during a meditation circle. I'd been meditating about 3 months and we had one to connect with our main guides. We had to visualise a six point star and see a beam of light coming down to envelop us. I went up into the star and it was like a temple with black and white squares on the floor. then my guide came in, he was tall, with white hair and white robe on. We had a long talk (telepathy) about all sorts and i remember asking him his name and he laughed!! He said names are not important... I felt loads of love from him, it was amazing.. so I said i'll call u alphabeta (first thing that came into my head) and he laughed again!!

He is lovely and when i'm really down I meditate and go visit him - always under a weeping willow tree. He said he's been with me since i was born.

there are other guides too... a Chinese doc who is so funny and he comes when i'm doing healing... makes me howl laughing.. Also a Japanese woman who brings a fan to help bring me serenity, she strokes the fan over my aura. And theres a native american man who is my doorkeeper..

Surprisingly Marianne, as you learn and perfect your meditation skills to contact others, you begin to heal also. Meditation I find is also a healing process. They say that if your chi or body is off balance meditation can really help. I know I had an illness years ago and it has improved tremendously.

Now stress, this can create symptoms that can fly through the roof. Stress takes you off balance. No more Ying and Yang so of thing. One must learn to really relax in this hectic world. Too much stress can really deter you from focusing on your daily life.

So to me Meditation covers all aspects of life.

Wow, that's some pretty amazing connecitons you guys have had.

I haven't been in contact with my spiritguide to much. I can feel when he is here though. But I haven't learnd a way to communicate with him. I've been able to make a couple contacts threw him. I know he's helped me threw alot of emotional times. Were I've felt alot of saddness, he has came in sometimes and just taken that away.

For a while now it's been pretty hard to astral project. The last one I remember, I had exited my body. I still felt like i was laying in my bed and I couldn't move at all. I started to feel like alot was going threw my mind alot of emotions and sadness. Which is weird, cause most of the time when I think to much about something I end up going back in the body lol. I remember asking for my guide and most of the time I don't see him when he comes. So this was my first visual . He had reached his arms and hands towards me and put them over my head and filled me up with all this joy and happiness it was sooo wonderful.

I rememebr his arms were like a whiteaura and he didn't have a definate color like it was just a white aura glow shaped into an arm. Well come to think of it the pyramid does kinda fit..

Alot of the time when i"m trying to astral project I imagine myself walking up a pyramid and when I get there there's doors and I have to pic one to go threw and the one I go threw alows me to exit my body hehe..



I remember one of the first voice contacts I've had with him. It was in a dream. The scenary was kinda miss placed I think lol. I love hte ocean alot though. I was doing something couldn't really remember what, but I was with family or friends. I remember walking along the side of the beach and then I had looked out to the ocean waves ((((i'm always scared now though cause everytime there has been an ocean in my dreams with waves the waves get bigger and bigger and end up being a hurricane lol which makes no sense cause I don't live at an ocean or have never expereinced a hurricane))

The ocean was soooo beautiful and instead of being a blue ocean it was filled with so many vibrant colors of purple, and the sky was light purple it was interesting sight to see but I felt so peaceful.

I noticed there was a pyramid and felt like I had to get to that pyramid. Once I got up there to the top There was a man that appeard to me. I asked him if he was my spiritguide and he responded that he was. I was tryin to focus to much on what he looked like rather than what he was wanting to tell me but the most I got out of it was that he was working with me and wanted me to keep trying. I knew there was more though but i'm glad i got to hear him some heeh

there's been a couple other visitations in the past but this post would get long i think >< Lol Now that I think of it the pyramid does kinda make sense. Because when I try to meditate on astral prjoecting. I use a pyramid as trance tool. LIke i'll be walking and walking up the steps and when I reach the top there's some doors i have to go threw. But the one i go threw is the door I want to go threw to exit my body...Kinda interesting herd about this method on a tape. Hasn't really worked but I'm still using it lol..

I still smile everytime I think about what a great sense of humor our guardian angels possess.
About 3 years ago I tried the visual meditation where you are suppose to walk into a forest opening and come to a calm pool of water, I usually have difficulty doing visual meditations, so I was concentrating really hard. Then where I'm supposed to see something or someone walk out towards me....all of a sudden I felt like I was pulled straight up and out into space. I didn't have to concentrate at all ...cause it was so vivid. I was floating out there in dark space with the stars twinkling around me and then I heard the sounds of bells. As you can imagine my excitement! I called out mentally and asked if this was the work of my guides and if they could show themselves to me....nothing came forward....but the bells got a little louder. So I thought..."Ok, the bells must be my guides. Maybe I shouldn't think of them in any physical terms". I then asked them for their names....and with a sudden burst of laughter coming from everywhere around me ...I heard "Santa Claus?". I couldn't help myself ...I laughed so hard that I had to open my eyes and give up trying to meditate....however it left me with such a good feeling and a deep feeling of love that I was on a high for the whole night. So now I know that they are there...with their sense of humor....and I have given up trying to put them into a rational box. I just love them for being with me and allowing me for having them.

I recall seeing higher self when I was 8 years old . I was frightened at first . I was playing on the porch with an antique spinning wheel and the sunlight was going thru my hair which I was pretending to spin to gold . She appeared so different than me that I thought she was an angel. I don't recall her saying anything .

I heard a male voice a few times as a child which protected me . For example when a pedophile escaped prison and came to my apt complex he targeted me . I was only 9 . When he grabbed me I heard that voice say "Bite him and run , run , run " When I had to pick his photo out of the books , a shadow came around his image and I chose him correctly out of 7 books of mug shots .

I do not recall meeting another guide visually though until I was an adult and a spiritualist circle I joined described my main guide George to me . I know him well now and enjoy his company . And I met another one Henri who helps me on platform and sings familiar tunes to help me get the gist of a message . When Bill V. introduced me to George , I began to have past life visions of our life together and I found him very familiar and "home" to me .

Hi Daydreamer, communication with our guides/angels is on going. It is the active awareness of that communication which is not yet realized. Just watch and listen to your surroundings and ask for their help with the process of communicating. They will find a way to capture your attention and with out doubt you will know it is they who sent the message...

To be perfectly honest with you....I think they have already attempted to communicate with me in a "sign" aspect. Was seeing the #33 for what seemed like 100 or so times during the last few months. It has since stopped but your right, definitely caught my attention.
I guess what I meant was a more visual or audio way of communication. I would love to be able to see them or hear them.
In the next breath I feel like if the time is right and under certain cir***stances they will come through as I wish for them to, like if I were to really need them to help me.
