Today I met with a lady that does deliverences. I went to see if i had any negative attachments that I needed to get rid of. From the beginning it did not go well. I was told that everything I believe is witchcraft which it is not I have a great respect for wiccan and i do not see it as something evil. My gift as a clairvoyant i was told came from evil on my dads side. At the end of the conversation i was asked to convert to christianity and I politely refused because I do not believe that to be true to my heart. Then she said i am sorry you will be leaving with your demon today. I honestly felt like I was at the stake and someone lit the match. I feel like crap after that. I am in some serious need of encouragement.

A lady that does deliverances, eh? You've been taken for a ride, pure and simple. The lady has no gift, except to make others feel horrible about themselves and their beliefs. What she told you was crock, from beginning to end.

Was there something in particular you needed deliverance from, or was it more of a curiousity adventure? If you feel a true need, I'd recommend finding a practitioner who is more aligned to your beliefs, a fellow Wiccan or perhaps someone along the lines of Universalists.

Or perhaps you could submit a post here, asking for whatever information SB members intuit.

Don't let this 'lady' ruin your day.

You cannot believe everyone you meet and in that, I live in the bible belt! I'm sure many people would LOVE to exorcise the "evil" right out of me too!

The reason why I went my mother said her prophetic dreams became more clear after. My mom is also a very strong christian believer which is fine I have nothing against that because that is whats true to her heart . I expected it to be like going to a psychic. Boy was I wrong. I just wanted to know if i had any negative energies connected to me or any blocks that were hindering my gifts. Thank God it was free the whole time the crucible and Salem witch trials were repeating in my head. She kept on pushing the bible in front of me that all of it was true scrutinizing my beliefs. It was terrible. I am so happy for this website I was truly in shock. I am still trying to relieve my heart from the hurt. I was so uncomfortable I wanted to walk out but I didnt want to be rude considering i was at her house. What an experience.......

Let me ask something I think I know the answer to but want to confirm.

How does your mom feel about your "non-Christian" fellowship? Does she also believe your "gifts" are evil?

Im sure she is not thrilled and as far as my gifts she considered them spiritual but always telling me to be careful as I understand. I think today is the first day I actually opened up to her on what I believe it has always have been bits and pieces. I was so upset it was hard to flitter or sugarcoat it for her.

I believe in some of the christian faith I do believe in jesus and god. I believe they are separate spirits. I love everything about wicca its one of the most beautiful religions in my opinion. I like parts of all religions so i chose not to have one. I think religion is a stepping stone to what is really out there. I like to think we are all one with out having to put myself in a category. I was trying to explain my theory to this woman but she was not having it.

Yes I agree that religion is a man made concept used to control. I also take parts of different faiths and create my own beliefs.

I just wondered if your mother may have "convinced" you to go there in hopes to convert you.

I think she had good intention on having me go. I really wanted to know more about my ancestry and see if there were any curses present so it sparked my interest. I dont think my mom intentionally tried to put me in that situation I know she feels bad about my experience but I also believe she is trying to justify what the woman is saying.

Had to walk off the flurry of emotion your story brought up in myself. I have been through this also. Since I was a child I have fought with this, something inside me was different and all the teachings of Christianity were saying this was all evil. I went through allot of shi* to try and remove the "evil" from my life to no avail.
Manda all I can say is Follow your heart and intuition, your intuition is from the spirit and will never lead you the wrong way. I have vented on a few of my posts about this issue perhaps one of them will resonate with you.

Thank you star I grew up the same way always having a thirst for knowledge about psychics, palm reading, and fortune tell. The only person that ever understood me was my grandma she was a palm reader. I was always so fascinated by her. I didnt even know witches were real till I was 20. I dont understand why people choose to believe our gifts are evil or something to be ashamed of. Honestly I like to believe we are magical beings of light instead of thinking the world is bland and ordinary how boring. What I found weird about the deliverance was that there was no prayer in the beginning to guide us with what she "saw". I dont know if its just my experiences with psychics but before a reading we always say a prayer to guide us. Weird........
