My boyfriend swears that our house, which was built in the 1940s/1950s, and it's last owner passed away last year, is home to a spirit. Knowing that we were moving into a deceased previous owners home, I had plans to sage the place when we moved in but I never did it because the house didnt make me feel uncomfortable like I thought it would.
But my boyfriend, who's a sceptic in the first place (I'M the believer), thinks were sharing space because he claims to have had several un explained things happen to him, whereas nothing has occurred to me. My first impression of the house before we moved in was that of eerie, old, do not disturb kind of feelings, but I don't think that way about it anymore now that were settled for the last 8 months. He claims the occilating fan in our bedroom had been turned away from his body while he was sleeping one night; one morning his left contact lens wasn't in it's case where he last put it; he hears footsteps; says he feels the presence of a child and he thinks the child is playing games with him. When he is alone he talks to 'it' or likes to say he's talking to the house as if it's alive, because he wants it to know he comes in peace. So honestly, its not that I don't believe him although he's got a very active imagination, but I don't think he is accurate. The only uncomfortable feelings I get are in the basement and in the hallway at night. I'm not saying he's wrong or I'm right at all, nor do I claim to know anything about anything, I just would like some verification as to if this is true or not. Is there a spirit left in our house and who is it if so? My boyfriend even asked his friends wife for holy water, so he can do that to the house. He says ever since he brought the holy water into the house the occurrences have ceased for now. But isn't holy water to ward off evil? There's nothing evil or frightening here. If there is something or someone I'd like to know and communicate with it and set it free. Can anyone help please? If it's necessary and if you think there is something here, I'd like to invite you to come in and see into our home and look around. If there is something, I can't help but wonder why it hasn't targeted me at all, only him. Maybe because he is the homeowner. I am very open but I think those feelings of supernatural are in fact natural, so they don't make me uncomfortable and I don't dwell on it. Thank you |

While it could be a spirit, I also don't sense one when I read your post.
Do you know if he's had episodes of psychosis in the past? This feels like he may be manifesting this in his mind. There are ways to see if something "moves" but it has to be in a room that you guys stay out of for 24 hours. Where he says things move, sprinkle flour or baby powder (like on the night stand) and set an object (his contact case) right in the middle of the powder, then shut the door to the room. Sleep in the living room or somewhere else till morning. go back in slowly (not to shake or bump things) and see if it has moved. The other way is to put a nightvision video camera on you both while you sleep. It's hard for me to say without actually being IN the house, but I really don't pick up anything. PS Yes holy water is for evil spirits. (this is why I think it's his fears and belief systems. Is he watching too many ghost hunting shows??) |

Oh Pagan I think you could be onto something with the manisfesting comment. See, he's a dreamer, he lives in his dreams of what he wishes he had, ie winning the lottery and when we do etc etc, so I don't doubt this. He's not crazy though, just dreams out loud I guess. Pisces for ya!
He's not watching too many ghost stories lol he doesn't watch those but I think he may believe holy water is the answer because he really doesn't know any better about these spiritual differences, I also think he enjoys the thought of having 'an experience'. This is why I wanted to make sure with you guys because I also thought he was creating this in his head. However though I can't tell him that so I just have to let him do his thing. If he's interested in using one of your suggested experiments maybe it would help him get over this. I try not to fuel him, but i will help him try to disprove it. Pagan, thanks for your response |
