Default seeing energies and feeling eternity
my recent experiences have consisted of being able to see energies with increasing clarity in my visual perspective; mostly i see various colors stretched about everything and sometimes when i close my eyes, there are internal montages of energetic morphing that coincide with my emotions. i also sometimes experience extreme focus on physical sensations, as if my entire consciousness is wrapped each point and from each of them i sense the emanation of all of existence. is this familiar to any of you? i'm only 20 going on 21 in a few months, and i've heard from various sources that higher senses typically open for people at certain ages in the 20s.
what does this mean? it can be a bit nerve-wracking because i can't tell if i'm going insane or if this is normal

Well I can vouch for your internal montages. I haven't had it in a while now, but I also experienced that in my early twenties which lasted a few years. Ive never heard that ones 20s are an opening point for higher senses, but could be. I'm almost 28 now and I've had many awakening abilities fade because I didn't harness them. My morphing montages used to make me physically feel as though I was those objects. That what youre explaining? Used to bother the heck out of me because usually id be trying to sleep and I didn't know what to do with it. I say, let it happen, even if it feels crazy. Dont open your eyes like i used to do. Im sure you can focus the images and slow them down with practice. You're def not going insane, all this sounds pretty normal for an awakening. Don't let it go like I did

yes, that's exactly what i experience! i've had it to the point where it occurs in waking states. for example, during a movie, this guy was talking poetically about his philosophy of society and it caused me to become a sensation of this montage that i guess was in my head. i guess what he said really set me off. it's a kind of peak experience in which my awareness is really amplified in that it focuses on something incredibly small, like i said, a point of sensation where my mind is. what this makes me think of is the intertwining of the crown and root chakra; ganesh is the symbol for both (well, the elephant is, but yknow, same thing), after all, which seems to be a key element of this experience.

for me the montages are just rainbow patterns swirling in my mind morphing into images. the most wonderful part is when i realize they're me; i feel them fully as they change and can change them if i want to when i'm seeing them. i think i used to also have the beginnings of this kind of vision but i also used to shy away like you did. now i don't really have a choice, but i'm also much more familiar with what they are; theyre like a natural part of my every day experience

Tough to say my friend. We all have individual approaches to things, especially the spiritual ones. It allows for individual expression and individual creativity. Just as it would be downright boring if we all looked alike and liked the same things, so is our approach to our spirituality.
