Default Something weird w/vision occuring...
Hey everyone...I've been meditating for about 3 to 4 years and have been interested in and reading about different metaphysical topics since I was much younger. I've had some cool experiences while meditating but recently I've had one that Im very curious about and can't figure out what is occuring. Every once in awhile after meditating, once I open my eyes, they almost seem to go sort of crosseyed. They don't feel uncomfortable but it seems this way because I can see the outline of my nose, and everythig becomes kind of blury and objects split/merge. Sometimes my vision will then start going from one eye for a couple minutes and then to the other. I'm reading a workbook about the Pleadians right now, I don't know if it has anything to do with them or what.... Just hoping anyone can shed some light on this for me? Anyone have a similar experience or know what exactly is happening here? Thanks so much!

Hi and welcome to SB.

It could be paranormal, but it could be physical as well. Always seek medical advice if this persists.

If everything turns out okay medically, then it's probably the same thing that happens when we wake up from sleeping. You know when you first wake up you find it hard to focus; I know I do. My eyes tend to "wander" instead of fix on say, my robe to get to the bathroom in.

When you meditate you put your mind/body in the same state as sleep (Theta waves). Therefore it makes sense to have the same sensation after a meditation as you do when you wake.

maybe try to completely come "awake" before opening your eyes after meditation to see if your eyes adjust or not...

just an idea

I agree make sure it's nothing medical. It could be that your 3rd eye is awakening more and can cause your vision to blur and be unfocused for a short while after meditating. It can also cause pain between the eyes. For everyone it is different but thought I'd mention it.

Love and blessings
