I've had some unusual experiences lately and I would really appreciate anyone who can give me some advise if I'm on the right track. I've really tried to develop my abilities over the past several years, but I've just never been able to accomplish much. I can't see (although that was always my dream), I can't hear (at least not actual voices), I don't really feel. So I thought I was sort of beating a dead horse and that I wasn't at all psychic. But strangly, people whom I've never done more than smile at in the halls at work for the past 20 years are coming to me and pouring out their life story's. This happened again about 2 weeks ago. The poor woman was absolutely in tears. We talked for a long time. I spoke to her on a spiritual level, told her how to protect herself etc. Then I was telling her that what had happened to her only affected her shell not her soul, that it didn't define who she was etc. I later went home and thought about what I had said to her and wondered "where did that come from?" At the time I was talking to her I wasn't thinking of these things. Usually, if someone is crying around me I'm an absolute puddle, but it came to me that she had to cry actually what I heard (I call it hearing my thoughts) is that each tear she cries releases an atom of the pain. Let her heal. I did not react or feel the least bit uncomfortable about her crying I just continued to talk. The next day she came to me. Oh my goodness, she was so excited. She told me of a dream she had that she was sure was a message. In her dream she was given a miniture lion. I think I was as excited as she was!. She told me she felt so light and hadn't felt that way ever. We talk regularly now so that she is able to understand the changes she is experiencing. Anyway, sorry to be so long winded but I needed you to know the background first. Today while I was driving, I was hit with the thought that I should start a business as a spiritual advisor, that I could help more people than just people at work. Maybe I'm just not meant to be any of the common clair's? What do you think?

While I can't really "read" you since you are under the required posts. I will tell you that doing this for a business is tougher than it looks

Make sure you really check into how it works, whether or not you are allowed to, if you need a license and some places even require you buy a license if you charge for services. If you do services for free, be aware that free services will drain you faster than an energy exchange. You will have more success doing some sort of trade or exchange when you don't charge.

Research, ask other professionals you trust. There are phone lines (I don't recommend them), there are online advisors (again very rough work) but if that's the way you want to go I can point you to the sites.

Perhaps you consciousness of what you have been doing is to show you the comfort you bring to others without knowing

Have you thought about doing training, and going into something like the counselling services? If that is a possiblity and from there, through the right channels offering an alternative approach to the counselling or include spiritual advice alongside everything else, if this is something you want to do?

I Agree with Laura in that you need to look at it from both a practical point of view, can you do it, liciense etc and from the view of your energy levels also, you need to get an understanding of what is fully involved in it and how draining will be on your energy, so protection and taking time to recharge your batteries so to speak is essential.

Thank you so much for your help. I'm going to look into it. I do know it drains your energy, I dragged my butt for days! Several people have told me I should be a councelor but at my age it's too late to train. If this is meant to be then it will be I guess. I did do a reading a few years ago for trade. It was for an Italian grandmother who couldn't pay. I have to tell you she gave me the best lasanga I've ever eaten and enough tomatoes from her garden to last a month!
