Hi! I'm new here.
I tried some "meeting your spirit guide meditations" and stuff like that. But I have a really active imagination, and I think that I might have been making it up.
I thought I got an image of a tribal, almost New-Zealand type guy and the name Nuwori or something like that. I looked up the name and the closest I could find was Ngaire, which is Maori for flaxen?? Also, I saw an image of black hair threaded through with golden ribbon. Not sure what to make of it.
How do I know if it's real, or just my imagination??

PS =) I was laying in bed once, and realized that I was hearing these voices...catching them at the end almost. I was thinking about how weird it was when I heard a very clear, female voice call my name-twice. Was this my spirit guide?

Trust in that small little part of you that tells you what you are experiencing is real. Intuition will not steer you wrong. You would have to do quite a bit of making up to come up with that...sounds like a guide vision to me. Sounds like a very cool experience!

And the voice you heard? Sounds like a guide trying to get your attention.

May I ask why you are questioning your experience? Is it out of fear? Or do you think that something like this can't occur for you? Or is it a voice of reason you are picking up from someone else? Whatever it is, do not let hinder your progress.

Dont doubt what you saw, next time youre meditating ground and protect and go to your sacred place and ask Nuwori or your guide to come close and ask if he can give you a sign to confirm your vision.

Also our guides often call our names to get our attention.
Its sounds like you are already on a fantastic journey of development.

Guides use your imagination and I agree it is Maori. It is a tribe there of indigenous people. Try using the search feature here and type in "spirit guides"

I went through the same thing!! I have a very active imagination as well. The first time I heard one of my guides call my name right before I fell asleep, it immediately woke me up completely. I was excited
So yes, as Laura said, your imagination is the playground for what you recieve. Trust them.

Newdawn: Yeah, I don't really know why. I'm not afraid, but I guess sometimes I can't tell if I'm just imagining it.

Emily,at first I had a hard time when something would pop in my head thinking okay so have I imagined this, but when you trust your visions and have people on this site confirm it, it does over time sink in that okay its not just my imagination.

I personally take the rule of if it pops up in my head/mind then it is something I am being shown for a reason by my guides, if my trail of thought goes on to it and its stems from visual media imput then I know its my imagination.

Trust what your gut feeling is telling you, trust yourself.
