This morning I decided to have a lie in after a late night and go back to sleep for an hour. Just as I was drifting off I could swear that I heard someones voice or at least 2 heavy sighs. Initially I thought it sounded like someone saying 'help now' but I'm not sure if I've just turned the sighs into something from my imagination.

I've said before that I've heard random 'chatter' before falling asleep but this was different. It sounded too close and too real. More and more things seem to be happening lately and I don't know if its me just opening up more or what

Sounds to me like you're opening up more. And I think you'll know if they're threatening or not.

I've had something similar happen to me during an early morning lie-in. Those times when I'm really relaxed, chilled, and open. I heard a male voice just say "Hello There". It was threatening or scary. It was just like someone was around saying hi. Though it was real enough that I looked around the bedroom who said it. There have two other times when I've been touched. Once was a poke in the back, another a poke on the arm. Neither was violent. They were more like a person going "hi". In both cases I got up and looked around to make sure my son wasn't messing around.

As a young 14yr old boy Lying in bed I often wondered how my life might turnout in years to come. Questions like would I get married? who would I marry? would I have children et al often came to mind. On one such ocasion I was answered. My brother a year younger than me slept in the next bed. A voice told me that my wife would have my brothers initials. H C T. 8 years later my wife and I got married. Her name began with H and her maiden name began with C and of course my surname begins with T.

I met my wife when I was 20 in another city. I never doubted the voice.

It does sound like you are opening up, place more trust in what you are experiencing, that is something that I have been told since being here at SB, is very valuable TRUST.

I too had a similar experience while drifting off a few months back, heard distictly a woman or women saying my name it sort of had an echo. When it happened I doubted myself and thought I had just created and false memory or imagined it but since being here I know that I heard my name called and I know it was either my guides or someone close to me that had passed.

Yep, you are hearing voices. You are most certainly developing. It is called Clairaudience. Welcome to my world...ha ha. I hear whispers, words, breathing too. Sometimes, I even hear cats. Weird, huh? Remember to trust in your own intution, I have learned that it does not lie!

Then I heard the voice again say, "can you hear me?". In my dream I remember looking around for the voice. Then right in my bedroom, next to my ear, I heard the voice shout "HELLO~!!!"

I woke up startled and looked around. I knew someone had to be in the room but there was no one there.

@newdawn. Thanks for the encouragement. That's interesting that you said that. My experience was over a year ago but I remember it like it was yesterday. Last week I attempted to contact my spirit guide. I did a meditation and began to focus. I saw someone very interesting.

Don't laugh, but he looked like a gnome. He looked almost like one of the seven dwarfs from Sleeping Beauty. He had on an outfit like Mickey in Fantasia with the pointed hat and robe. When I asked him his name, he said Geppetto!

I thought to myself, am I tripping? Am I making this all up? Then he said to me, the story of Pinnochio is based on a true story and that Geppetto was truly a magician. He told me he was in my life to teach me how to bring my own desires to life.

I made note of all this in my journal and told him if he was really real to prove it. The next day I was doing some research for Geppetto the magician online and found nothing, until I looked up spirit guide and I did find one thing.

A lady in a forum like ours told of a dream where she was seeking to contact her spirit guide. In her dream her spirit guide left. When she asked her spirit guide why she had left, the spirit guide's answer was, Geppetto ordered me to leave. Does this make sense? Your thoughts are welcome. Blessings!

i have heard a woman calling my name since i was a child and i have also heard male voices but couldnt interpert them... but two days ago i met my spirit guide in a meditation and her name is Iris... so im guessing the woman i heard calling my name for all these years was her! i thought that was pretty cool!

Thanks for the reply everyone. It's nice to know others have experienced similar things. It actually happened again 2 nights ago. I heard a womans voice and woke up and immediately heard it again even though i was awake. From what I remember it was more of a sound rather than the forming of a word. I'm actually getting really excited about how many things have started to happen these last couple of weeks. So many coincidences and hearing things etc. It still unnverves me a little at night time for some reason

It unnerves you at night, because we have been taught to fear the night. Think about every horror story you ever watched...it occurs at night. The darkness, the not seeing, the stories of souls crossing earth more easily in the dark. I am learning that there is sometimes light in the darkness. And I have been forcing myself to look past my fears. Sometimes, when I walk my dog at night, I can "feel" things around me or will think I saw something. I couldn't believe it, I was so proud of myself the first time I looked around so noone thought I was crazy and outloud I said. "hello", I initiated the conversation, I was in control. I have been hearing footsteps behind me at night when I walk her, and yeah at first its unnerving, but now I stop, turn around and say "hello". I think those footsteps I hear, are my guardian angels. Now no one has yet said anything back, but they will, oh they will. And I will probably be scared the first time but I know now that I can face it. Always keep yourself protected and then challenge your fears.
