I know this may seem very odd. But lately, it seems that I am attracting birds. All kinds of different birds.

It all started a month ago when I was walking the beach and meditating on my guides and angels. I had a tiny little bird walk with me the entire length of the beach. I dismissed it.

Then,

About a week or two later, I woke early in the morning, the sun was beaming through my patio windows. The blinds were closed but I could see the shadows of little heads bobbing. I peeked out the window and there were about thirty little sparrows all inside my open patio. they were hanging out on my porch swing, sitting in the seat, on the ground, on my windows, on my table. I didnt know what to think of it.

Then...

One day I was walking my two dogs. A bright yellow bird landed in front of me I almost tripped on him and then a bright blue one shot around me and started flying around me. Neither of them were afraid of me or my dogs!

Now today, I was in my car on the phone, the car running. A bird, I think they call him a cowbird landed on the hood of my car right in front of me. I got off the phone and watched him. He just stared at me, walking back and forth on the hood. I opened the door hoping to scare him away and when I opened the door he came closer to my side like he was going to jump in the opening in the door. I backed up my car, he hung on, started driving through the parking lot, he hung on. He struggled to hang on, the wind was blowing, he kept wavering. I finally stopped the car, got out and swished him away...cause I didnt want him to get hurt.

I know this is weird, but any ideas?

It is ok to be connected to the world in other ways - besides what you can talk about with the "average" person. These birds are obviously communicating with you. What a precious gift! Congratulations on posting about it, and accepting it in the way that you are. I wonder what adventures you and the birds will have next!!??

There is a very interesting book you might want to look up called "Animal Speak" by Ted Andrews. It is a very descriptive resource to all sorts of different animals and birds...what they represent, how to discover your animal totem, etc.

I have had various birds and animals show up in my life and seem as though they were 'speaking' to me in some way, carrying a message via what they represented. It really is interesting, once you begin noticing them coming to you, in interpreting the message that they bring. Have fun with it!

Thank you all! The connection has seemed to wear off a bit and now seeing the difference, I have to believe they were communicating with me on some level. My mother gave me a bird book for Christmas (because of this) and when I opened it, it reminded me of my grandmother who was an avid bird watcher. Right after she passed, almost four years ago, I remember seeing birds more frequently and closely and wondered if it was her telling me she was ok. So, I think the bird connection again, may have been her.
