Default How different are we when we are aware of our spiritualness?
This ongoing thought has been in my mind for a long time now. Are we different people once our spiritualness has been awakened? I know for me when I was about 16-17 I felt I was changing within, I couldn't explain it, next thing I know I could sense things (emotions, etc) stronger. So I thought I would share this with you all and if you ever felt this way as well

I dont' know when I first saw things but I have since I was a child but I blocked it so fiercely that I only remember a few "sightings" so to speak. I was already a social outcast so I dont' think I could have handled this too. I was over 12 before I remember anything and it was the sighting of my uncle after his death. I know understand he was letting me know he didnt go to hell but as a child it only scared the wits out of me.

I only recently began this journey even though i wasn't technically looking for it. i've always known I was different but didn't know or understand why. I was diagnosed ADHD but honestly I think its over active pent-up energy I never released. ever since I've begun taming my "wild" energy I feel so so so different, way calmer, more intelligent because I can know complete a thought and find it again after a "rabbit trail". i used to have a "fog" in my mind and I couldn't get passed it until now. I'm still impatient though lol still working on that! but how bad can it be to want to help others with my abilities? lol

I still feel like i have a block that I need to break down but working with my guides and angels to get it down. I dont' even know what the block is! lol

I think what you refer to is called "the Awakening". It is when we as "human bodies" realize that we are not our body but instead are a spirit that resides IN a body.

Yes, absolutely it changes you. You begin to live life differently, you release a lot of old baggage because now you can understand that your spirit has chosen to come here to learn many lessons. The body will die but our spirit will live on and come back again.

Like yourself, Kagome, I now see things differently.

But, for me it wasn't an instant transformation... I kept getting snippets of knowledge over the years from being a child, only for understanding to be somehow blocked. It was a few years ago that something suddenly 'clicked' and I began to understand the path I was on, although at first it left me drained and desperate to cling to what I had known...

With all the trappings now discarded and understanding that I am a spiritual being, I feel much more comfortable with who I am and what I'm doing and learning.

DH understands part of what ive explained to him, I only wish that my family didn't ridicule me if or when this type of subject is brought up in conversation... I keep a lot to myself, when I would love to use this knowledge to do some good.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your output on this subject I've also been diagnosed with ADHD and I know its not just pent up energy. Its been with me since I was young and now an adult finally diagnosed. Most annoying thing I find is when I want to sleep my brain won't shut up! music will constantly run in my head. As I'm writing to you all its doing that. Dunno if thats the condition or my spiritual self

My 10 year old has ADHD and I put her on meds. I don't usually like medications but her inability to focus a thought was really bothering her more than it did me.

Concerta has been wonderful and now she is much more calm and focused. For night, and the shutting off the chatter, she takes natural Melatonin 5mg and wow... she now sleeps and wakes up refreshed and happy.
