There’s a saying, keep your own council. I think this goes for people like us. I could be wrong but I feel we remain stronger when we keep our own council. This means that it’s more empowering to keep our beliefs to ourselves and share them only with like minded folks. There’s another saying, don’t throw your perils to swine. Unfortunately there are some people who just don’t get it. Be true to yourself. Trust your own instincts and intuition. Know that you are not wrong just different. Dare to be different.

Speaking to spirits on the other side has taught me, that they carry that closed mind with them.. it takes a LOT of work to get through it when they pass. They regret that they didn't understand ... "Judge not, lest YE be judged"

I agree with everyone here, you are not evil, and your guides, just like our angels and the ascended masters are actually provided by the Source/God/ Great Spirit. Many people tend to be so closed minded out of fear, as well as out of ingorance to these things. I agree, if you know these people are just going to put you down, because of your beliefs, then just avoid that talk with them, we all progress and grow on our path in our own ways. I think our connection to our guides and Angels is beautiful and blessed, and so are you,

Hi Candy.

I've read the Bible. I can think of many scriptures that are adamantly against the eating of pork.

First let me say that I agree with everyone here, and I have great love for seekers and mystics everywhere (I say this with some fore-knowledge of coming events).

I myself am a mystic, and let me just say in all of our defense: It's hard to not talk to someone just because they have a mysterious form... in fact it's nearly irresistible.

However, as I am quite (un)popular for being the one dissenting voice; it appears that consulting the dead is against the scriptures:

"Deuteronomy 18:10-13
Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the LORD your God."

Take this as you will. This is where your friends are coming from. Most people are completely unaware of all that goes on around them. If they had even a glimpse, things would be much different.

I believe this was more of a warning so as not to bring forth evil. I believe it was more for our own protection because our ignorance might have caused more damage than good. But we are so much more aware today thanks to all the information that is available to us. I don’t believe the bible is telling us it’s wrong. I believe it is warning us to stay clear unless we know what we are doing. I believe anyone who has used a Ouija board will know what I’m talking about.

That's what I was thinking dancer because the prophets tell and do the same thing as the psychic so right so with the bible you have to know how to understand it and I my grandmother and my mother come to me all the time my mother blows in my ear I ask her to protect me and let me know when she is around I don't think its bad and if it is I ask forgiveness but I truly in my heart don't believe it

C that's just it GoD I love him above all I know right from wrong and I if I do something wrong I get the feeling I get that little voice in my ear my mother will come to me and let me know that I don't want to offend any one but I know those who call on voodoo work to harm others or cause confusion I think that is wrong I grow up with people casting spells trying to harm my aunts and grandmother leaving salts and dropping things I witness these things I mean my grandmother had a great great gift she only used it for good she called to GoD and his angels but she knew when things were not right is she got a vision she would warn u the same as I do My cousin grew up in the same house as her so I just don't get her but she is entitled to feel how she wants I cause no harm I wish no harm so at the end of the day im not wrong so I wanted others input just to know what they thought and how they felt and I thank you all for the input I m different and as someone posted I dare to b different Its funny how my cousin thinks its wrong but when I have a dream with a message for her she is all ears

I quite agree. And that might sound strange coming from a non-religious person. But when I was struggling with things the most, I realised that I need to hold onto something in order to ground myself. Guess what I held onto? The bible. I used the bible in order to save my sanity. I went on a quest to read the bible from cover to cover. Over the years I have read the bible cover to cover three times. Like I said, I’m not a religious person but I’m not a stupid person either. I knew I needed help and thankfully I found it.

I was@talking to two of my cousins about spirits . I happen to mention spirit guides and how they help you in life and are there to help you and guide you to make positive decisions and lif. My older cousin said it was evil and against the law of GOD. She said it said so in the bible I never read such thing I believe in spiritual guides and I don't think they are wring . She made me feel as if I was doing something wrong. .spiritual guides are not wrong to believe on right? They are here for the the good? Right just please some one tell me im not wrong because idont feel wrong and im still going to keep a open mind to them and ask them for there help . Tell me what u think!

Candy everyone in life has there own belifes. I would just avoid the conversation with your cousins (thats what I do now with mom dad and sis)
Especially since They made you feel uncomfortable.

Do they not ask the angles and saints to guide them? Do they pray? Do they know how many times the bible has been re-translated?

Who is to say that guides are not saints or Angles? I have no doubt that there were and are people who were so pure of heart so good, and giving. People who have preformed miracles during there time on earth,and passed.

Who are we to know EVERYONE that GOD and Jesus has chosen as saints and angles. I doubt very Much they call up the Vatican and asks So should I make them an angle or saint? OK add them to your list lol Point: For all we know as humans guides could very well be angles and saints

I am not trying to ridicule religion or the church, I am not making light of your feelings What I am saying here is the same thing I would say to my priest

I personally feel that everyone has the right to follow what there heart tells them. If something is coming from love, without harm, judgment, envy ext. Simply out of love compassion I do not see that as wrong. Believing in guides is not right or wrong. If you belive in guides that is your god given right If someone else doesnt that is there God given right . As long as it is all done with respect

Ok im getting off my soap box lol. I just wanted to tell you I do Understand how you feel your not alone, One of the reasons I have came to this forum "like minded people" My parents till this day try and convince my husband to stop me from speaking about my experiances, and how I feel we are all connected. Now I just dont speak about it with them

Hey...i am in the same situation,luckily i haven't told my close-minded family about these stuffs,they would think that i am crazy or what.

I suggest that do not tell anybody about this spiritual things,they will have negative influence to your beliefs.Tell only those open-minded.

Stick to your beliefs,because nobody knows what things are truly wrong or right,we are just living based on what we wanted to believe.That's what i think at least,and remember to think big too.
