I resided in a deep forest this summer on the mountain peak of Rhodope and met some people who had a weird experience. They were workers living there in order to finish a bridge, but they were anxious as almost every single day accidents happen , machines go out of order and the bridge seems to collapse in some places. Some workers are superstitious and mention whispering that something needs to be sacrificed as tradition says about bridges. One day a woman came and explained this to everyone. This place that the bridge is supposed to be built is the spot where about 750 people were slaughtered by… (I do not wish to insult any neighboring nation) their bodies remained unburied due to the fact this side of the mountain is not even remotely close to civilization. She said there are still bones there and one the workers assured this.. Poor souls right? I wish our government took such things seriously but who can propose a proper funeral or collecting the bones?

I would think a sacrifice seems a little extreme, tho i can imagine the souls who have received none of the respect they deserve feel very upset. Might i suggest the community maybe do something in respect of these souls. For many reasons one should possibly write to the authorities about the skeletons who lay restless even if they only note the health and safety aspects of having the remains buried.
I would also recommend having a clergyman (or the person who represents their likey religion) come and do their last rights and give blessings. you can also make a contribution by doing a blessing or saying a prayer for the souls... |

I agree a sacrifice is way to extreme, I agree in blessing the land and giving them a right of passage. I would also state that for those who swell here it is there job to help in keeping the bridge strong for those who work and cross over it keeping them safe. (Its just my opinion) but giving them cause can stop any negative mischief.
