Hi there, I would like to ask a question. I always thought I had spirit guides up until about 3 years ago (seemed to coincide with when my mother died). I honestly feel they're not there now - even when I had a psychic reading about 2 years ago the medium seemed a bit surprised. I know my sister is around me now, as she has spoken to me, but have been told she's not there as a guide. So, my question really is, do guides eventually give up on you and go away?? Thanx

Hi and welcome....
My thoughts and opinions are as follows.... we all have spirit guides... some stay with us for a short period of time, maybe to help us get through some hard times..... some come to help and teach us things....... others can stay with us for a life time. Just because this person couldn't sense your guides being there, doesn't mean that they weren't there. ![]() Now i am sensing that they are there with you, you cant feel them because your sister is near and she is very strong at this time, and she wants to tell you things, so they are standing back and letting her take the floor so to speak. There are three strong male figures standing behind your sister, they have there arms folded... lol your sister is playing with them, almost giggling.... so saying that I think she is going to be with you for a very long time...... Hope this helps, just be patient... they will come through to you when they need to. Blessings |

Thanx I would say your sister is more of a helper for you rather than a guide. I hope you manage to hear more from her in the future. |

Many years ago my marriage broke up and I moved into a new home with my daughter. From the first day in that house I felt the spirit of my late father in the home, and although it was a scary time for me, living alone etc, having to care for my daughter on my own, and especially at night time when gawd knows who might be wandering around outside, I never once felt frightened, as I knew and felt that my dad was watching over us. This continued for well over a year, his precense was so noticable in the house.
After a year or so I met someone new, and we formed a good realtionship together and eventually got married. However, about 5-6 months after I met my new partner, I suddenly noticed that the precense of my father was no longer in the house. I went to a spiritualist church one night and was told that my fathers precense had now moved on from protecting me as I did not need it any more, as I now had a wonderful man who would watch over me, and dad no longer felt the need to 'watch over his little girl'. I was so moved by this, and still am whenever I think of it. He was there for me in life, and continued even in death. God bless him. Maybe this is how it is with your siter too. |

Yes Cameo, though my sister passed away almost 30 years ago, it is only since my mother died about 3 years ago that I know she is around me. One night a few months after mum had passed away, I was standing at the kitchen window bawling my eyes out and a woman's voice said to me 'look out the window'. When I did, there was the most amazing sunset - the sky was all red. I know that was my sister. She sounded just like a woman who was alive standing right by my shoulder. Knowing that someone is caring about you even if they're not still in the living world, really does help when you feel alone/vulnerable - as you have said with your own experience. Thanks for sharing your lovely story. Karen xxx
