I decided to ask to have an experience with my guides. I went into a meditative state for some time. Then I saw myself dive into a large person. The next thing I was listening to a soft pretty song to me. While listening I saw waves in the ocean perfectly formed. It was very pretty sight! I thought maybe my guides live in the ocean or something. Or maybe they are part of the wave i saw. I don't know? Can guides be a wave? Can they be any form? Do they have to have a form? I also wonder are they a part of ourselves? Are they always with us? I'm trying to start learning about guides any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

It sounds like you are truely starting to open up and connect with the higher realms. We are all infinitely connected to everything in this universe from a rock on the ground to the sea to the person who lives next door, and to those who have passed on before us we are part of them as they are part of us. As you have stilled your mind you have formed a connection and it is something that you will always remember. Each time you meditate try to reach out and find that stillness within you. I think it depends on what you believe in yourself.

I believe that your spirit guides can change its a bit like when you go to school, a guide will be with you until they can learn you as much as they able to. then you will spiritually progress and you will be given a new guide a bit like going to school. A guardian is with you always, always protecting you never leaving you and is always with you through many lifetimes I hope I have been of some help to you.

Hi dude, it appears you had a good emotional meditation there. As for guides being waves, no. We communicate with our guides and as waves cannot communicate there would be no purpose. When we decide to become a medium, a spirit guide will come forward to help us unfold our mediumship. A guide is not a doorkeeper i.e. one who has been with us from the day of our birth. Spirit guides are said to be highly evolved spirits which makes me think they are not a part of ourselves, or at least me! It's from my experience that our main guide is not always with us 24/7. They come when they know we are ready to sit and then go about their business.
Angelwings is right when she says lesser guides come and go. When a lesson comes to an end they move on. Just like people do in our lives.
