How did I do it? (reading) - DiscussWorldIssues - Socio-Economic Religion and Political Uncensored Debate

Yesterday me and a friend was having a deep converstation about something that happened a few years ago, I was in a psychic chat room where there was a development class taking place and I got a strong image of a lady standing next to me, she gave me a name and it turns out someone in the chat room said that I had picked up her aunt.
I was telling my friend about it and the fact that it hasnt happened to me since but I told her that I know I can do it I just dont know how to and then
all of a sudden in my minds eye I saw a man sitting next to my friend, I described every little detail about him and my friend was 100% convinced that I had just described her Dad but how did I do it?
Was it because we were already talking about it so I was in the right frame of mind or just a coincidence?

Welcome, Vicky! Some people are born more...open to things than others. I talked to spirits in my Grandmother's house when I was a very small child, and it kind of never went away. I had to learn to block it out to function, but it never completely faded. Now, I'm working very hard to learn how to use that sense again. If you don't like the words psychic or meduim yet, let's just say that you are extremely intuitive. That's the term I used for a very long time.

asking the questions why is a very good start

... try to analyze how you felt when it happened .. who it was towards...was it an emotional experience...what hightened the moment for you at that given time? and through routine and imitation of that feeling or event it will definately happen more

I was thinking that maybe stress can block spirits getting through?
I have been under a lot of stress for a while but recently everything has been good and stress free especially when I got that message through from my friends dad so maybe that's what it is
