I thought I would share a recent experience with everyone.

To cut a long story short, I experienced the following yesterday morning while enjoying a leisurely lie-in.

I had woken before the alarm was due to go off. I was trying to get back to sleep and as usual, for me, once I'm awake, my brain has started working and I cannot stop its chatter. All of sudden, I feel very calm in my body and I see in my minds eye - a being in a doorway of white light.

Can anyone explain this or has experienced similar?

I would say from your description that you had experienced the beginnings of spiritual communication. When I connect spiritually, I see an opened door with light in the background. A spirit person is walking through the doorway.

If it happens again, see if you can identify the person, or ask them a question and listen to your thoughts, and feelings to see if they reply.

Same here. Its a bright light and then a grey mist. I see shadows coming forward from the mist. Usually my guides or relatives.

No you weren't dying You see a dark tunnel then, with a brilliant white light. You feel calm and serene in it.

Hi Skye and Pagan Medium. Thanks for explaining that to me. This is the first time that it's happened to me so I was quite surprised and I know that I didn't imagine it. Is there a pattern that spirit follow to make you aware of them?

Its different for everyone but typically they use the mist and the light. They don't want to frighten you so they do their best to make you feel calm. I call to them a lot and because I have no fear, they come through a door, just as a neighbor would, or a really close friend.

Hi Nikola, as Laura said everyone is different. I see spirit standing at the back of me, then in front of me and sometimes to the side besids the doorway. I suppose it may vary for you, but if you prefer one way then ask spirit to come that way every time. If you like the doorway, focus on a light under the bottom as you reach up, then when you get there open it. You may just see white light for a while or sometimes spirit will appear straight away.

My question would be how do you determine from all the signs, who the certain spirit individuals are, from the signs they give you. If they're on your left and right etc. All these sensations that I experience doesn't frighten or scare me but it would be interesting to determine who they are.

I suppose it will all happen in time :-)

Nikola just ask them if it's spirit they will tell you. Although when you pick up a person who is living from another person as in a psychic reading that can be quite similar. What I did to prevent any confusion was to ask spirit to the enter on my right side leaving the left side for psychic. Now i'm used to them I use the doorway.
Sometimes spirit will say they wish to speak to a certain person and then give out relevant information.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'signs they give you', but I do know spirit will help you if you ask. Do they give you signs Nikola?

Feathers, coins, signs on the road, songs. Those are signs. They just say "Pay attention... I'm talking to you!"

And yes you tell them where to stand. My gate guardian stands in front. My joy guide to my left, my healer guide to my right, my ascended masters are above me and my protector guide is behind me (gives me a bear hug when I need to be safe and protected).

Oh thank you Laura. I thought Nikola meant when she saw someone in spirit. Silly me Nikola, apologies.

Normally it's a particular song that is heard and meant something to someone in spirit. For instance every time I hear or think of "The banana boat song", I know my dad is around me, and because it has a funny memory with it, he has come to uplift me bringing a smile to my face.

Coins found I look at the year and see if it has any significance in my life.

The smelling of perfume/scent/aftershave normally belong to the person who wore them. It's the same with flowers.
