What do you mean by "dull"? Does it make you feel tired? Does it make you not care about things? Does it make you feel slightly depressed, apathetic, bored, or listless? Does it feel like someone threw a wet blanket on you?
There are several visualizations and energy exercises you can try. You can try picturing what they call a "grounding cord" which is like a pipe or conduit going from your base chakra to the core of the earth. Then you can picture this energy being sucked down that cord to be consumed by the fire at the center of the earth. Next you can picture a bright white light entering through the top of your head, through your crown chakra, and picture it going through each chakra, lighting them up in turn. Once they're all lit up, imagine a bright light emenating from your heart chakra and slowly building until it fills your entire body. You're now lit up like a light bulb. Then picture that light building up even more, spilling into your aura - surrounding you in a cocoon of white light. Next, imagine a hard clear shell forming around you about 1-2 feet away from your body that contains that light. Imagine yourself as a giant indestructible walking light bulb with your body as the filament. Take a deep breath, feeling your body filling with light and love, then when you exhale, imagine that energy exploding out of you in a bright shower of sparkles and light. If you like, go further - call upon whatever higher beings you believe in. It could be Christ, Bhudda, an Archangel (Archangel Michael is especially adept at protection and clearing away negative energy) or just God. Ask this being to help you clear away any negativity that may be around you. Go the next step and imagine angels or protective entities of light and love coming in and helping you extend your personal shield to cover your entire house. Ask for angels to stand guard at each corner of your house. You can also visualize the same grounding cord you used for yourself centered at your house, sucking away any darkness or negativity. Finally, to really seal the deal, or if you feel like there might still be some kind of negativity hanging around, go to any mind/body/spirit shop and pick up a bundle of sage. Light the end of it and carry it through your house, going around all the windows and doors, and every corner of every room. Negative spirits are repelled by sage - it's like OFF mosquito repellant. The final step is to review your thoughts, situations you've been in, emotions, and what you've been going through in your life recently. See if you're holding onto feelings of guilt, regret, shame, blame, or resentment in any area of your life - either towards yourself or someone you know. Forgive people who you think may have hurt you, forgive yourself, and then go a step further and, as Jesus said, "bless those who persecute you". Try to genuinely feel a sense of love and well being towards anyone in your life who you feel may have harmed you, or towards yourself if you have feelings of guilt or regret. It's a good practice to do this daily - you may find yourself reviewing old wounds and old memories you thought had been buried or forgotten. This will close the doors and seal you against any future harm. |

I smudge (burn white sage) around me and in my home. You can get a smudge stick in New Age type stores for about $6 to $8.
If you are doing the house, open a door and burn a white candle (a small tea light candle works well here) to collect the negative energies. I say a prayer asking for help from God, my guides and angels in what I'm about to do. Go through you house, gently fanning the smoke with your hand to get it in all the corners. Going room to room, always fanning toward the open door and making the open door your last area to do. As you go throughout your house, state that only those things that come in love, peace, light and are for your highest purpose are welcome, all others must leave. At the end when you have gone everywhere (including opening closets and drawers when you are in that room), I pick up my white candle and carry it out side. Say a prayer of thanks for all the help that was given. Blow out the light. When it is cool, I wrap it in a bag and throw it in an OUTSIDE trash can. Never bring it back into the house. Anyway, it works for me. Sending prayers for your guidance. |
