I have started doing long-distance healing type things, and I don't even know how it happened to me! I was sitting there talking to a friend one time online, and suddenly got the urge to try healing him - and I tried, and it came (amazingly!) naturally to me, and I just...did it! I have sent energy and healing to people a few times since, and it feels so natural to me, but I can't help but wonder - how did THAT happen? No one attuned me that I know of, there were no special messages, really...it just happened! I don't even know a thing about Reiki, or if that's what I'm using, or anything - but here's what I know/do.

What I do takes hand motions, almost always, but can sometimes, with a lot of effort, be done mentally (I don't have enough control to do that well, yet). So, usually hand motions. I first take a deep, cleansing breath, moving my hands up and down slowly, rising, then falling, and it seems to align something inside me, seems to open me up and get me ready for the healing. Then, I usually take a moment to cleanse the person in a special way - sometimes myself first, because I feel I need to be pure before I heal someone else - of these strange impurities, negative energies, that I see in people sometimes. Then comes the healing, with varying steps for each person.

I see different visuals every time, but they seem to have themes, usually very natural, earthy themes like electricity, water, wind, fire, pure soil, etc. I sometimes see colors, sometimes see symbols and even objects while I'm doing this. I usually ask my guides what is going on, and they will explain the meanings of some objects that I fail to understand, and tell me what to do with them...

So what has happened to me? I feel like something has "opened up" in me that has been there all my life, but I don't know what opened me up or how I know to do all of this! I hold a fear in me and a doubt that I can do this right, feeling that I'm going to mess it up...but I think deep down that's just my ego or something, because what I'm doing feels like it comes from the Light.

My advice is to spend less time thinking about "how" and just what you do. Without thought. If it comes that natural your on the right path and if you continue to use it to help people, the stronger u will become. Everybody has a gift, but not everyone has the same gift. Some people search their entire lives to "find that gift". Take it, be grateful for it, and keep healing. Their is no real way to explain it, your connected to the universe, your healing energy is strong, ect, ect. This is your calling. Rejoice in it, people's well being depend on it. Focus only on what;s important, and do not worry about the trivial stuff. I think that's your message from the Angels, lol. Anyway's I think your gift is awsome, hopefully you'll share it on the den? Don't worry about attunements. I firmly believe that we all can be given the gift to heal and some of us are more open to receiving that gift. The hand movements sound a lot like Pranic Healing.

I'm a natural healer as well but I don't do the hand movements. I usually see colors and see what the problem areas are. Each of us are different and no one does the same thing others do. Keep it up!!! Gratz on finding your strong point and now comes accepting it and investigating it. Experiment with different techniques and write it down in a journal. You can then look back to see what works best for you.

I read somewhere a long time ago that if you have been reiki attuned in another life that if you say reiki over and over then it calls forth your reiki energy. Dont have a clue if that is actually true other than when i did it my hands tingled.


You may have tapped into a mode of healing that you have used in other lives that has just been laying dormant within you until as they say the time is right.

Have you over the years had people after you touched them say ..."Your hands are so warm or feel so good ..please put them back on me?" If so you probably have the healing hands gift. Which may use pranic or reiki or simply your inner healing abilities.

Either way ....you go girl!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for your replies, everyone! You're probably right, I shouldn't question it, I should just go for it! I've noticed since it started that my hands - especially my palms - sometimes feel warmer than the rest of my body, or even tingling...I guess it's just the energy itching to get out? LOL.

EternalNight, when you have excess energy coming out of your palms... ground it ...give it back to Mother Earth.

I think Sophia has a point... I felt the same way when I was getting attuned. My Dad used to always tell me to put my hands on his back, knees and to massage him when I was a child especially when he was tired or feeling low. He called me 'the girl with hot hands'! I didn't realise this until the day I was being attuned - I just happened to remember my dad saying those words... my M/T confirmed it for me.

My mother had a NDE (near death experience) and since that moment, she had "hot hands" as well. She is Christian and believed it was a gift from God to heal others.

After reading about Pranic healing I also remembered something from early childhood. I was always "odd" as a child. To calm me, my father would rock me on his lap (i was maybe 6 months old) he would ..(.how to explain this without coming off totally sick,,lol) use his lips, draw up my hair and kinda comb it to the ends while doing a sort of Ohm.... I'm sure to him it was totally subconcious, but I remember feeling a sense of complete peace. It was not until reading on the Ohm healing mantras did I realize my dad must have been contacting some other part of himself and naturally calming me to sleep.

Firstly congratulations.
Second, I agree with what everyone has been saying.
Thirdly - the self cleansing part is vitally important. Remember you're a channel for 'love' or 'healing' - which means you need to be a 'clean' as possible... never expect anything from what you do - in results - leave that up to the creative force of god to deal with..
Congratulations - and I will add - since its my own 'fault' never doubt its your gift.

great work on finding the one thing you do best......Healing. i realised i was psychic about 1-2 years ago and i've yet to find what i'm best at. according to a test i took said i was best at channeling but i'm not sure....................... anyway congrats!
