Hi I just want to know, if anyone knows what is the meaning of burning different colored candles.... I have a lot of red candles lol.... and I always have a candle burning during the day and its normally white... but recently I have started to burn my red one's, just to get rid of them mainly...

So does anyone think.. its a bad thing to do... should I just get rid of them and be done with it?

Don't know about 'red' yet, but I read that 'brown' is related to grounding.

Hope it helps. You have to remember, it's up for intupration.

Colors and Their Meanings

White: A balance of all colors; Spiritual enlightenment, cleansing, clairvoyance, healing, truth seeking; Rituals involving lunar energy' May be substituted for any color candle.

I would burn red candles just because I like them or it is the holidays.
I would burn red candles if I needed energy, or felt sexual, , romantic, passion etc.
I would burn red candles if I was working on my root chakra.

But in reality it can be for whatever you set your intent for it to be.

Leeslight I think that the list Dann provided was awesome and helpful and I'm sure it will perhaps help. As far as the color itself being important it may or may not be....that being said what Sophia said is true. It's the intent placed upon it while lighting it.
