Ive been trying for a about 3weeks now to astral project, i feel as if i have been making progress and calming my body. I do get those soft vibrations that happens when your about to leave your body. But along with that i get this really itchy feeling in my muscles like i have to strech them, it drives me nuts like an itchy bite.
Ive been asking for protection, visualizing white light and grounding myself, but it doesn't really go away. Any tips would be a great help. cheers |

Hi,
Try this technique if you haven't already: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com...howtopic=60199 I don't know about the itching.. is it bothering you throughout the day as well? Maybe see a doctor or dermatologist.. I wish you the best of luck! It's worth the practise |

The itching could be a subconcious thing. Perhaps a bit of fear of the unknown or what will happen once you reach that level of OBE. You will hear alot about how people have out of body experience and their subconcious instantly thinks they are dying because their spirit left their body....that is when you feel the held down feeling or paralyzing sensation or even jumping....total body jump.
I'd pray to whomever your higher power is to help you release the fears from you and hand it over to them.....allowing yourself to be free of all fear while you proceed and trust that you are protected...saying that I still think you need to continue grounding and shielding before continuing. Alot of times we don't realize it but if we have even the slightest fear of something....it can affect whatever we wish to accomplish and by allowing yourself to hand it over and release it from yourself you can continue. It might take some time but it's definetly worth the try. Hope this helps....love and blessings |

The tingling and itching is your mind trying to get your attention when mediating.
It is hard …but ignore this and it will go away. I promise! Remember the mind “thinks” it is you! It’s not… Many thoughts beg for our attention including worry and fear but these are not true when we ignore them or better yet recognize that they are just thoughts and incorrect ones at that ..we can go along way in quieting the mind. Even in non-meditate states these “thoughts” can drive you crazy and are based on old beliefs. Start to change your beliefs, seek the truth, and it take care of itself. Royen |

Oh and don't concentrate too much, just get into a meditative state and let go of everything. Focus on one of your chakra's, preferable the one below your navel. Notice how it feels, keep noticing how it feels.. stay alert. Forget about your body.. you don't have a body, it is an illusion
There's only the feeling in your navel.. |

a couple of these responsed confused me.. i thought the subconcious was the the part of the mind that had no fear since it is the part of the mind that is supposed to know past lives/ present life memorys.. anyways my guess would be increased awarness of youre physical body.. i used to get the same feeling during my OBE practices.. dont get discouraged.. took me about a year to get a couple.. they are well worth it though! one technique i use is concentration on the heart.. just increase youre awarness through the day and at night concentrate on youre heart and it should produce at least some vibrations.. http://www.boloji.com/spirituality/040.htm Love and blessings |
