Default The story of Patience Worth
As I sat in the classroom my full attention is on the professor as he states that everyone has the ability to write; that angels do not just come down and whisper in your ear what needs to be written. He then continues to explain the process necessary to write a good composition. But I am not concentrating on him any longer as I already began a verbal dialogue in my mind that sometimes angels or spirits do whisper what needs to be written.

I am wise in my middle age and do not verbalize my thoughts. I am there to learn what knowledge he has to offer. I just wonder if he ever heard of the story of Patience Worth or her writings through Mrs Curan.

The first link tells the story of how Patience Worth’s writings came about through Mrs. Curran.

The second link is of her actual writings Via Mrs Curran. I thought the very last poem was beautiful

The third link is of a Doctor who studied and wrote of this “Case” as it is quite well known. The Doctor went on to become president.

Though the reading is long, it is quite fascinating even with the huge words in the second linkand it corresponds quite strongly to one of the posts here concerning the use of Oouji Boards and, in this case, a wonderfully far reaching experience came of that use.

I just came across this myself and thought I would share it.

I'm off to read it! FWIW, my mom has used a ouija board for years, and has written so many wonderful things. In fact, she has just come out with her second book of poetry that came through the board.

Wow, this is fascinating. Is the book in publication? Did she receive the name of the poet? This has really peaked my interest. Thanks for sharing any information you feel comfortable with sharing.

Hi Tink. She channels a group of energies. I don't think they've given her a name for themselves, however, they have given her a TON of information about her deceased mom, dad, ex-husband (who was only 45 when he passed), loads of poems.

She says these days, she can't write fast enough because they are supplying her with so much stuff.

The first book called, 'Flight Instructions' is poetry that is mostly stories about the historical lives. For example, one is about the Donner Party.

The second book is called 'Ice', and is more poetry about us being loved and how hard we make it for ourselves here in the physical presence, that if we would only remember the love from which we came and operated on those standards, this life and planet would be so much healthier.

She has self published them so far, and has a very rough website up....

I keep suggesting that she puts a poem up for people to read, but she's old school and the thought of creating a site makes her shudder. lol...

If you'd like me to post a few, I'd be more than happy to.

I used the ouija board for years as well, and NEVER encountered anything but loving spirits and guides. I don't these days, because it would take me a while to ground and receive messages, and with little ones, I just don't get the opportunity to do it. Perhaps when they start going to school. lol...my kids, not the spirits. lol...

I just read some of the poetry by Patience. It is sort of the same cryptic writing that my mom's spirits write. Sometimes I understand it, sometimes I don't.

I don't think she minds at all. In fact, she reminds me that it's not her material, she's just the person writing it down.

I'll post it in the poetry section.
