The difference between a vision and a psychic experience

Recently I have become aware that in my own experience there is a big difference between a “Vision” and psychic knowing.

I think that knowledge through psychic ability is more common, happens frequently and helps with everyday events. Psychic knowledge comes through as gut feelings, tingling body sensations and can involve any or all of the five senses etc.

Visions seem to be just that. Strong and powerful messages received through the sense of sight. They also feel as if they come through from a much higher vibration. Where there is room to interpret psychic knowledge in several ways depending on who is receiving the message and who the message is for, there seemed to be very little room for misinterpretation of the Visions and less self doubt on what was seen.

I have received many messages through psychic ability but only two Visions and I was wondering if anyone can relate to what I am about to write next.

When these Visions came ( two different times, for very different reasons), they were clear as a bell and the scenes were concise. For a period of time I was able to reproduce these two visions just as clearly in my minds eye but it seems that once the period of time that the Vision was for had passed, the ability to reproduce the Vision was gone. I have memory of it but can no longer see it clearly in my minds eye. (I know that this how it is suppose to work for me as the Vision had a purpose and is now no longer needed)

I thought I would share what I have come to understand and see if anyone else has had similar experiences and came to the same conclusion.

I have to say that I have had psychic experiences before... and I know I have had visions but like you I have trouble reaching into my memory for them. I am to the point where I couldn't even tell you much about them, just that they were strong.
I am very interested because I had never thought before of the difference. I just lumped them together as a psychic experience.

Everyone has their own opinion but for me personally they are all connected. Visions vs. experiences. Ask yourself if your learning and developing your abilities are you only limited to certain things. I think once people start learning and developing their abilities they will find that all become a connection. Some are stronger gifts then others. Perhaps the visions are to make sure you understood what it meant more than hearing it or feeling it. Perhaps it's more of an important thing to deal with or give to someone then just the normal senses your use as far as gifts are concerned. The greater the messages the more profound and breathtaking they become. So in my opinion I feel it's all connected and sometimes we need to have all our senses involved and not just the normal we are use to.

When we lose information or images..or senses it's because we can't really communicate on the higher level then a spirit or spirit guide. Therefore we have to use language to describe everything when indeed it's more than just language. Some things are lost during translation. Some of it will be remembered while most of it is forgotten because why hang on to the messages as long as they are delivered or expressed there is no need to hang on to them. What happens in the past needs forgiven or dealt with and move forward. Don't keep looking back. Perhaps this is why you can't remember them.

I had what seemed like a vision a while ago, summer 2006, I can still see it clear in my mind though, does that mean that the event is still to happen?
